Andrade vs. Humberto Carillo

Monday Night Raw January 27: U.S. Championship Match

Andrade defeated Humberto clean during the Royal Rumble pre-show. No explanation on why he gets a second opportunity tonight. Carillo hit an immediate shotgun dropkick and then several stomps before Andrade rolled to the outside. Following Andrade to the outside, Humberto got a few hits in before Andrade drove him into the post. Back in the ring, Andrade beat Carillo down in the corner before missing a knee in the corner and falling to the outside. A dive to the outside by Carillo sent Raw to a commercial break.

Back from the break, Andrade powerbomebd Carillo in the corner, but missed double knees. Carillo followed up with a spring board cross body, single leg drop kick, and a moonsault for a near fall. With Carillo going for another springboard, Andrade kicked the bottom rope, but moments later Carillo hit both he springboard single leg dropkick and a moonsault. During the pinfall attempt, Zelina Vega hit the ring breaking up the pin and earning Andrade a disqualification.

The title doesn’t change hands on a disqualification. Irate from the outcome of the match, Carillo pulled back the mat and hit Andrade with the hammerlock DDT on the exposed concrete.
