El Phantasmo, Jay White, and Kenta defeat Bushi, Sanada, and Tetsuya Naito

This match previews:

  • Tetsuya Naito’s defense of the IWGP Intercontinental and IWGP World Heavyweight Championship Match against Kenta on February 9th.
  • Sanada vs. Jay White on February 9

After Kenta refused to fight Naito, ELP and Bushi started the match. Bushi hit ELP with a a hurricanrana that ELP used cartwheeled to evade. Bullet Club hit the ring and sent all members of LIJ to the outside. Kenta laid Naito across the English Commentary table and continued to beat him down. Naito and Kenta fought through Korakuen Hall.

Back in the ring, Bullet Club continued to focus on wearing Bushi down. Bushi eventually got a double hurricanrana on Jay White and ELP. With Sanada tagged into the ring, he tied ELP up in the paradise lock. As Sanada charged in, Jay White pulled the referee in front of himself.

Moments later Naito and Kenta found their way into the ring exchanging forearms until Naito hit an inverted atomic drop and a dropkick to the knee. Naito then hit his combination kicks in the corner followed by cinching in a figure four leglock.

Kenta hit a tornado DDT where Naito’s neck draped across the top rope followed by a draping DDT for a near fall. After three hard kicks to his chest, Naito missed with an enziguri but connected with a dropkick to the knee. Bushi tagged into the match and all three members of LIJ hit a dropkick.

Bushi dove to the outside taking out ELP and Naito hit two basement dropkicks. Kenta took back the advantage and hit go to sleep on Bushi for the three count
