Caristico vs. Barbero Cavernario
- Updated: January 25, 2020
CMLL Fantasticamania January 19: NWA World Historic Middleweight Championship
Cavernario attacked Caristico before the bell and pulled off Caristico’s mask, but Caristico had a second mask on underneath. With Barbero on the outside, Caristico hit a corkscrew cross body to the outside. Moments later, Cavernario took a huge risk by hitting a splash from the top turnbuckle all the way to the floor on top of Caristico.
Cavernario removed the turnbuckle and suplexed Caristico in the center of the ring. Running the ropes, Cavernario did a springboard Vader bomb onto Caristico for a two count. Finding his rhythm, Caristico hit a series of moves including a Tiger Feint Kick and a head-scissors takeover on the floor. With Cavernario again on the outside, Caristico connected with two suicide dives followed by a tope con hilo. Continuing with his aerial offense, Caristico dove from the turnbuckle hitting Cavernario with a body press on the floor.
As is the tradition with hitting Cavernario in the heard, he followed up with a worm. Not to be outdone with aerial moves, Cavernario ran along the apron and dove through the corner to hit Caristico on the other side. Back inside the ring, Cavernario hit another springboard Vader bomb.
Positioning his opponent, Caristico missed a moonsault on Cavernario but came back with a destroyer. Caristico submitted Cavernario with Mistica.
