Evil defeats Tetsuya Naito: New Japan Dominion July 12
Result: Evil defeats Tetsuya Naito
Match:
- Evil debuts a new look with the most notable difference being that his hair is down and a lighter color.
- Gedo, Jado, Ishimori, and Yujiro Takahashi all accompany Evil to the ring. Red Shoes requires all of them to leave before he calls for the bell.
- About 10 minutes into the match, Evil attacked Milano Collection AT (The Japanese commentator that always has Evil’s merchandise).
- Around 20 minutes into the match, Evil dropped Naito knee first off the ring apron through a table. He then wrapped Naito’s leg in a chair, but Red Shoes prevented Evil from attacking him with a second chair.
- At the 30 minute mark, Evil pushed Naito into Red Shoes. While Red Shoes was down, Ishimori came to the ring with Jado. Ishimori did hit a dive on Naito, but Hiromu Takahashi prevented him from doing any serious damage.
- After Evil connected with a low blow, someone came to the ring dressed as Bushi and choked out Naito. While fake Bushi distracted the referee, Evil hit another low blow.
- Evil hit Everything is Evil to become the new IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Champion.
