Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kota Ibushi vs. Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa

New Japan Road February 21 – IWGP Tag Team Championship

Tanahashi and Tanga Loa start the match with a pair of collar and elbow tie ups that Tanahashi transitioned into a side headlock. Both tagged out to their partners. Tama Tonga took Ibushi down with two shoulder tackles and a back elbow. G.O.D. isolated Kota Ibushi in the next sequence of the match, but he managed a tag off to Tanahashi. After a dragon screw leg whip for each member of G.O.D., Tana hit a somersault senton on Tonga Loa for a two count. When Tana ran the ropes, Jado hit him with a kendo stick. Tanahashi caught Tama running into the corner, hit a high cross body, and got the tag to Ibushi.

After a hurricanrana and a standing moonsault on Tama, Ibushi got a near fall. At some point, Ibushi got busted open just above the eye. With Tanahashi back in the ring, Tama went for a stinger splash but Tanahashi moved. When Tana went for a sling blade, Tama evaded and hit a high angle side suplex followed by a neck breaker. The Ace avenged the magic killer, but got hit with Guerrilla Warfare.

When G.O.D. went for the super powerbomb, Kota Ibushi hopped up on the top rope and hit Loa with a hurricanrana. Tama Tonga hit Ibushi with the gun stun. Tanahashi battled out of another attempt at the super powerbomb by hitting Tama with a suplex and hitting both men with a Twist and Shout. He then hit Tama Tonga with a slingblade followed by high fly flow, but Jado pulled Red Shoes out of the ring to prevent the pinfall.

Tama Tonga attempted to hit Ibushi with the title belt, but he moved and Tama hit Loa instead. Ibushi then hit Tama with the Kama goye and then a flying cross body over the top rope and down onto Loa and Jado. Tanahashi then climbed the ropes and hit Tama Tonga with the High Fly Flow for the pinfall victory. Kota Ibushi and Hiroshi Tanahashi are the Tag Team Champions.
