Neither man had a distinct advantage for the first 2 and a half minutes until Mendoza hit Swerve with a huricanrana and a baseball slide on the outside. Swerve made a comeback highlighted by a number of kicks to Mendoza as he was caught in the ropes. When Swerve went for his finishing move, Raul countered hitting Swerve with a driver and the two men went back and forth until Mendoza hit a spring-board huricanrana followed by a bottom rope moonsault. Mendoza walked the ropes and hit a missile dropkick sending Swerve to the outside and then Raul did a corkscrew dive to the outside that connected with Swerve. After Raul missed a top rope splash, Scott hit a house call for the pinfall victory.

Raul Mendoza looked really good in this match.
