Mendoza hit Wilde with a dropkick as soon as the bell rang. Once he secured the advantage, Mendoza held Wilde down with a headlock in the center of the ring. Wilde managed to fight out hitting two clotheslines and a powerbomb from the second rope. On the outside, Wilde leaped from the steps and hit Mendoza with a hurricanrana to the floor.

With both men standing on the ropes, Wilde hit Mendoza with another hurricanrana to the mat. As Wilde ran toward Mendoza, he got caught with a standing Spanish fly.

Wilde defeated Mendoza by pinfall after hitting the Wild Thing.
