Minutes to Bell Time

Kofi Kingston vs. Robert Roode

Minutes to Bell Time

Friday Night Smackdown February 28

Robert Roode pretended that Big E tossed him into the stairs, so the referee ejected Big E leading Smackdown into a commercial break. When the show came back from commercial, the camera showed Mandy Rose watching from the back. Roode hit a vertical suplex and set up on the second rope, but Kingston moved and Roode crashed into the mat.

Kingston came off the top with a strike followed by several more leading to the boom drop. Kofi then went for trouble in paradise, which he missed. Roode countered an S.O.S. attempt for a full nelson slam. After a spine buster, Roode got a near fall. When Roode went for the Glorious DDT, Kofi Kingston hit the S.O.S. As Kofi attempted the pinfall, Ziggler grabbed Roode’s foot and put it on the rope. Roode rolled up Kofi for the pinfall victory.
