Lio Rush defeats Angel Garza

NXT February 12: Number One Contender Match

Garza took his pants off immediately. They both hit the ropes moving incredibly fast and evading each other until Garza hit a dropkick. With Rush in the Tree of Woe, Garza got a running kick for a one count.

On the outside, Garza slammed Rush into the post and the steel steps. He then draped Rush over the barricade for another stiff kick as NXT went to commercial. Back from commercial, Rush hit a suicide dive followed by a springboard tornillo.

Moments later, Rush hit the Final Hour from the post to the floor and then hit Garza’s knees when he attempted in the ring. Garza hit Rush with a superkick. When Garza went for the wing clipper, Rush rolled him up for the victory.

Rush gets an opportunity for the Cruiserweight Championship. Devlin came out to congratulate Rush, but said he doesn’t like Rush’s chances. You never bet against an Ace.
