Starks grabbed a side headlock to start and knocked Cross off his feet with a shoulder tackle. Hanging off the turnbuckle, Cross hit Starks with an elbow drop on the floor. Back in the ring, Cross hit a handspring back elbow and a springboard crossbody for a near fall. After a cutter, Cross went for a shooting star press that Starks evaded. Starks got the pinfall victory after hitting Cross with the Stroke.
