Marshall Von Erich defeats MJF

MLW Fusion February 1: Middleweight Championship

Tom Lawlor participated on commentary during this match.

The match began with a long collar and elbow tie up that went outside of the ring and then back in. MJF suckered Marshall in with a handshake, but then Von Erich hit a couple of arm drags and a drop kick. When Marshall called for the claw, MJF slipped to the outside. MJF then suckered Marshall in again, so when Marshall went for a chop, he hit the post. To combat the claw, MJF wrapped Marshall’s fingers in the turnbuckle, stomped on the hand, and bit Marshall’s fingers.

When MJF attempted to fight out of a bear hug, Marshall grabbed him and hit a belly to bell suplex. Marshall went on to hit a pop up powerslam, but MJF pulled the referee in front of him when Marshall went for the claw. MJF locked in a Fujiwara arm bar while pulling back on the fingers.

After MJF flipped off the audience, Marshall kicked MJF in the head and then connected with a top rope moonsault. Marshall then applied the claw for the submission victory
