All TV Title matches have a 6:05 time limit. Dice got a couple of early knock downs and then got caught by two arm drags and a dropkick from Starks. From the second rope, Dice missed an axe handle, but hit a clothesline moments later. Dice got a northern lights suplex. Starks connected with a sling blade and a missile dropkick from the second rope.

Ricky Starks connected with the stroke for the pinfall victory. This marked the first title defense for Ricky Starks. NWA Rules dictate that the Television Champion receives a title shot with seven successful defenses.
