Roderick Strong defeats Velveteen Dream: NXT March 4

Result: Roderick Strong defeats Velveteen Dream

Match: As soon as Strong entered the ring, he ran at Velveteen Dream. Dream crashed into the side of the cage, and the two men exchanged fists until Dream back body dropped Strong into the cage. All of a sudden, Marina Shafir passed a kendo stick through the cage right in front of Strong as NXT went to commercial.

Back from the break, Velveteen Dream locked in a Boston Crab, but Roderick Strong reversed it. After Dream gout of the Boston Crab, he dropkicked and super kicked Strong into the side of the cage. Strong finally got the kendo stick, and he hit a pump handle slam using the stick. As Strong climbed the ring ropes to get out of the cage, Dream pulled Roderick’s pants down. When Dream climbed up next to him, Strong hit an Olympic Slam from the top rope.

Both men clamored for the door, but they stopped each other. Velveteen Dream hit the Dream Valley Driver twice and then he climbed to the top of the cage. Dream jumped off the cage to grab the kendo stick. Dream fought off O’Reilly and Adam Cole.

For some reason, Dream pushed Strong out of the cage (making Strong the winner) and then locked the Undisputed Era out. That left Adam Cole and Dream in the cage. Velveteen Dream hit the Dream Valley Driver on Adam Cole and held the NXT Championship up before hitting Cole over the head with it.
