Minutes to Bell Time

Trevor Murdoch vs. Ricky Starks

NWA Hard Times Pay Per View January 24: Television Title Tournament

In previous TV Title Matches had a 6:05 Minute Time Limit, but this match has no time limit. The match began with a collar and elbow tie up, but Murdoch took Starks to the mat with a boot. Starks strung a couple of moves together and went for an early pin, but Murdoch was in the ropes. Murdoch called for a Greco Roman Knuckle Lock, and Murdoch has a clear advantage. Murdoch hit Starks with a knee to the abdomen and then neck breaker. On the outside, Murdoch rammed Starks back into the apron and then sent Starks crashing into the steps. Murdoch rolled back in the ring and Starks only made it back in the ring as the referee counted nine.

Back in the ring, Murdoch would smack Starks in the face a couple of times. Starks ran off the ropes and Murdoch tossed him over the top rope to the outside. As Starks climbed back in the ring, the crowd supported him with “stroke daddy” chants. Back in the ring, Murdoch hit a hard clothesline and followed it up with a near fall. As Murdoch peppered Starks with rights and lefts in the corner, Starks lifted Murdoch into a sit-down powerbomb. for a near fall. Starks followed it up with a spear and a sit-down pedigree for the three count. Ricky Starks is the NWA World’s Television Champion.
