Kazuchika Okada defeats Gedo: June 17th New Japan Cup
Result: Kazuchika Okada defeats Gedo
Match
- Gedo comes to the ring wearing a sling, and he grabs the mic. I’m not sure what he said, but Okada came out next.
- Red Shoes and Okada insist that Gedo take his arm out of the sling. When he does, a spray can of some kind is revealed.
- Gedo next lays down on the mat and the bell rings. Okada goes through Gedo’s pockets and pulls out a set of brass knuckles.
- As Red Shoes gets rid of the brass knuckles, Gedo pulls out a wrench and begins hitting Okada with that.
- About 12 minutes into the match, Gedo gets another set of brass knuckles that he had taped to the ring post. They were hidden by the ring apron. Although he hit Okada with the weapon, it wasn’t enough to beat him.
- Okada eventually locked Gedo into a modified sleeper hold for the submission victory
