WWE SmackDown RECAP – August 20, 202

*Edge to the ring…Seth is forcing him to go to a place where his blood runs black…so now he has to break Seth, humble him, and BURN HIM DOWN!

(1)  Jey Uso defeats Rey Mysterio…Dom helps Rey complete a sunset flip & roll up by knocking Jey’s grip off the top rope, but Little Naitch catches Dom trying the feet-on-the-back-for-leverage trick again & Dom gets tossed from ringside…Rey slides out to yell at Dom & while distracted Jey runs Rey into the ring steps & tosses him back in to complete an Uso Splash for the win (12:14).

(2)  Baron Corbin defeats Kevin Owens by DQ…Big E comes to ringside to reclaim his Money in the Bank briefcase…Corbin bails from the match to protect the case & Big E attacks Corbin, causing the DQ…Corbin gets hold of the case & flees through the crowd (03:07).

*Bianca backstage with Kayla…she is sickened by the sound of Sasha’s name…she’s so pissed about last week she’s going to fight Carmella & Zelina in separate matches tonight.

*Moist TV this Monday will feature special guest Logan Paul (…but why?)

(3)  Shotzi/Tegan Nox defeat Natty/Tamina…non-title…Natty attempts the Sharpshooter…Shotzi kicks Natty away & uses the Schoolgirl roll up for the win (02:56).

*Seth Rollins to the ring…says Edge was just making excuses for why he’s going to lose tomorrow…interrupted by ‘The Brood’ music & Edge on the ‘tron warning him he’ll “never see it coming”…Seth gets doused by black liquid all over his white from head-to-toe ensemble

(4)  Otis defeats Montez Ford…Vader Bomb for the win (02:48).

(5)  Shinsuke Nakamura/Rick Boogs defeat Apollo/Azeez…Boogs hits Pump-Handle Power Slam on Apollo for the win (02:58).

*Carmella & Zelina come to ringside together, argue over who will go first…eventually Carmella tosses Zelina into the ring & match #1 begins…

(6)  Bianca Belair defeats Zelina Vega…Kiss of Death for the win (02:15)…AFTER…Carmella slides in during the pinfall on Zelina & meets Bianca with a superkick immediately after the bell to end the 1^st match, and we go to commercial…

(7)  Bianca Belair defeats Carmella…Kiss of Death for the win (03:52).

*Roman Reigns to the ring…John Cena‘s music interrupts before Reigns can even get a word out & Cena heads to the ring…Roman says lots of people say lots of stupid things to him, like “I’m going to beat you”…Roman asks Paul when was the last time he lost & Heymanreplies, “No one has beaten this Roman Reigns”…Cena tells Roman he’s not here to promote movies, he’s here to demote Roman…all he needs is 1,2,3…Roman says that since it’s Vegas, let’s raise the stakes, either he’s leaving that stadium as Universal Champion or he’s leaving WWE…Roman extends his hand to shake on his new promise, Cena accepts the shake…Roman uses the grip to scoop Cena up into a fireman’s carry…Cena escapes down Roman’s back & schoolboys him for a make believe 3 count…Cena rolls out & raises his hands in victory as he backpedals up the ramp & Roman is left in the ring, fuming as the show ends!
