New Japan Results
Check below for the August 27th New Japan Results. They go up live starting at 5:30 AM Eastern.
Yota Tsuji defeats Yuya Uemura – 09:11
- Tsuji trapped Uemura in a Boston Crab leading to a submission victory.
Goto, YOSHI-HASHI, Ishii defeats Honma, Nagata, Kojima – 09:45
- This is a non-title match even thought Goto, Yoshi-Hashi, and Ishii are the NEVER OpenWeight 6-Man Champions.
- Yoshi-Hashi got the submission victory using the butterfly lock.
Okada, Yano, SHO defeat Yujiro, Jado, Gedo – 12:07
- Yano outsmarted Jado and Gedo. When Gedo had the referee distracted by bringing brass knuckles into the ring, Jado jumped in the ring with his kendo stick. Yano jumped in the ring behind Jado and connected with a low blow. Yano then pulled off the turnbuckle pad to block Gedo’s brass knuckle punch.
- After Yano swung Gedo into the exposed turnbuckle, Sho got the submission victory over Gedo with an arm-bar.
Takagi, SANADA, BUSHI defeat Suzuki, Desperado, DOUKI – 09:18
- This match previews two matches for Saturday.
- Takagi v. Suzuki for the NEVER Championship
- Saanda and Desperado are both participating in the KOPW finals.
- Sanada used skull end to get the submission victory over Douki.
Post Match
- Suzuki hit Takagi with a chair.
Tanahashi, Ibushi, Wato defeat Taichi, ZSJ, Kanemaru – 11:37
- Kanemaru ran out and attacked Wato during entrances. Sabre and Taichi followed. No surprises here as this is the common Suzuki Gun tactic.
- Part way through the match, Taichi and Sabre attempted to hit Tanahashi with the dragon screw leg whip where Taichi holds Tanahashi in position. Ibushi broke it up, and Ibushi and Tanahashi executed the move on Sabre. Zack continued to sell the dragon screw even after the match.
- Unfortunately for Kanemaru, the match ended with him receiving a Kame Goye and high fly flow. Tanahashi pinned Kanemaru to finish the match.
EVIL & Ishimori defeat Naito & Hiromu –
- Evil picked up the pinfall victory over Hiromu Takahashi. He used Everything is Evil to secure the victory. Prior to this, Taiji Ishimori attempted to injure Takahahsi’s arm again.
Post Match
- Dick Togo choked out Naito.
- Post Match Comments Translated by NJPWGlobal on Twitter:
- EVIL: I knew it! LIJ are a collection of losers. So who represents justice now? Who’s real now? Who’s the strongest now? At Jingu, I’ll let you taste this same pain. Remember: Everything is EVIL! It’s reeal!
