Adam Pearce Gives Directions to Security

• He heads into Mr McMahon’s office. McMahon tells Pearce to go get signatures for the Universal Title Contract. He says don’t fail me.

Jeff Hardy In-Ring Promo

• AJ Styles comes out immediately and calls him a liar and a cheat.
• He says that Jeff used an illegal object to beat him last week and that Jeff Hardy knows how to play the system.
• The same doctor that gave Jeff Hardy the knee brace won’t medically clear AJ Styles.
• Jeff says he was about to issue an open challenge to anyone in the back (anyone except AJ).

Jeff Hardy defeats Shinsuke Nakamura – 13:01

• After the twist of fate, Jeff Hardy hit the swanton bomb for the pinfall victory. AJ Styles shouted that Hardy used the right knee to get the victory.

Sami Zayn Returned

• As Jeff Hardy tried to leave, Sami Zayn’s music hit and he met him on the ramp.
• Zayn had his Intercontinental Championship that he never lost. As Hardy turned his direct to AJ Styles, Sami hit Hardy with a Helluva kick.

Sami Zayn Backstage

• Sami Zayn says he came back to right the wrongs of AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy walking around with the Intercontinental Championship.

Firefly Fun House

• He says it was really good to see Roman again.
• Adam Pearce shows up dressed as a postman, and he wants Bray to sign the contract for the match.
• Bray says he signed a couple of death warrants.

Matt Riddle Promo

• Riddle says that even though Corbin doesn’t want him on Smackdown, Corbin refuses to meet Riddle himself.
• Corbin came out to the ring and Shorty G hit Riddle from behind. Corbin accepted the match on behalf of Shorty G.

Matt Riddle defeats Shorty G – 01:25

• After hitting the bro-derick, Matt Riddle picked up the pinfall victory.

Post Match

• Riddle unsuccessfully tried to jump Riddle after the match.

Recap of Big E and Miz on Talking Smack

• Plus they show a backstage discussion between Miz, Morrison, Sheamus, Otis, Tucker, and Big E. That sets up a six-man tag match.

Big E and Heavy Machinery Backstage

• Sasha and Bayley come by to poke fun at Big E. She tells Big E that some people can only handle a tag team championship. That didn’t seem to make Sasha happy.

Backstage with Corbin

• Corbin tells Kayla that this Sunday he’ll show everyone why Riddle doesn’t belong on Smackdown.

Sasha Banks and Bayley

• Bayley puts her foot in her mouth a bunch talking about how Banks can’t ever successfully defend a championship.
• Sasha says Bayley is lucky that she’s still her best friend.
• Jax and Baszler come on the screen. They hate each other, but they hate Sasha and Bayley more.

Adam Pearce Looking for Roman Reigns

• Drew Gulak tells Pearce he’s looking for Braun.
• Gulak finds Braun and hits him in the back with a chair. Gulak tosses the chair to Pearce and runs away.
• Strowman says the only way he’ll sign the contract is if he gets Gulak out in the ring. Pearce agrees.
• Braun also says Pearce better find Roman before he does.

Cesaro and Nakamura Backstage

• Cesaro wants better communication from Shinsuke.
• Sami Zayn comes by and tries to celebrate their reunion.
• Cesaro and Shinsuke aren’t happy that Sami has been gone for four months with no phone calls.
• The Tag Team Champions ask Sami to leave.

Braun Strowman defeats Drew Gulak – 01:44

• Strowman had a decisive victory pinning Gulak after a running powerslam.

Pearce Brings the Contract to Braun

• He signs it.

Lucha House Party Backstage

• Kalisto asks Lince Dorado to stay backstage and watch how it’s done. Metalik and Dorado agree.
• Kalisto leaves to head to the ring. Cesaro and Nakamura hit Metalik and Lince from behind.

Cesaro defeats Kalisto – 03:17

• Shinsuke Nakamura drew away Kalisto’s attention. Dorado and Metalik ran to ringside to pull Nakamura away. It still caused Kalisto to lose focus and Cesaro rolled up Kalisto for the pinfall victory.
• They had all they could do not come to blows.

Tamina and Nikki Cross Talk Backstage

• Alexa Bliss came by with her hair in pig tails.
• Nikki sees that Bliss is starting dread locks and says that reminds her of The Fiend.
• Bliss freaks out and breaks Nikki’s coffee mug.

Sheamus Asks if Miz and Morrison have a Plan

• Morrison says we can’t let Big E, Tucker, or Otis in the ring.
• Sheamus says follow my lead.

Otis, Tucker, Big E defeat Sheamus, Miz, Morrison – 12:00

• Sheamus got knocked off the apron. This ticked him off, so he left.
• After hitting the Big Ending on The Miz, Big E got the pinfall victory over The Miz.

Roman Reigns in the Back

• He’ll be at Payback.
• Roman says he’ll wreck everything and leave and get the Universal Championship that he never lost.
• That’s not a promise, it’s a spoiler. The camera turns to Paul Heyman who says “Believe That.”
