December 17th Smackdown

(1)  Sasha Banks & Toni Störm defeat  Charlotte & Shotzi…Charlotte misses the top buckle moonsault, goes for the follow-up standing moonsault but Toni gets her knees up…Toni rolls Charlotte up backwards with a bridge for the win (18:57).

*King Woods backstage with some of his subjects…the Usos interrupt…some un-pleasantries exchanged…Usos & New Day will fight again later tonight.

*Natalya backstage with Megan…Natty is still pissed about Xia Li coming to Naomi’s aid last week.

(2)  Viking Raiders defeat Jinder Mahal & Shanky…Ivar hits a Bullfrog Splash on Shanky for the win (>05:18…matched started during commercial).

*Paul Heyman waiting in the parking lot with the Universal Championship when a black SUV pulls up…it’s Brock Lesnar…they exchange pleasantries & Brock heads inside.

*Happy Talk with Happy Corbin & Madcap Moss…and Pearce’s desk with Angela stuck in it…Moss has jokes about Drew…Corbin decides to “gift” the sword to Moss, but neither of them can remove it…Drew McIntyre to the ring, tosses the idiots around, & reclaims his sword.

*Sami Zayn in Pearce & Sonya’s office…Sami wants another opportunity after his Universal Championship match was ruined by Brock…they offer to include him in next week’s 12-man gauntlet match for an Intercontinental Championship opportunity.

(3)  Ridge Holland defeats Cesaro…Holland nails Cesaro in the ribs with his club before the bell…Northern Grit for the win (03:00)…AFTER…Holland punts Cesaro in the injured ribs.

*Drew McIntyre backstage looking for Madcap Moss, with Angela.

*Naomi to the ring…all she wants for Christmas is Sonya in a match…Sonya out, but when she’s in her suit Naomi can’t touch her…Shayna Baszler attacks Naomi from behind, works on Naomi’s leg…Sonya tells the ref to ring the bell…

(4)  Naomi defeats Shayna Baszler…Shayna grabs a leg, looking for a submission…Naomi uses their tangled legs to hold Shayna in place as she rolls forward into a high stack roll up for the win (00:29).

*Happy Corbin & Madcap Moss hiding backstage when Megan approaches…Corbin says Moss will go 1-on-1 with Drew at Day 1.

(5)  New Day defeat Usos…ref misses Jey making a legal tag…as Jimmy argues, Kofi hits him with Trouble in Paradise for the win (08:30).

*Roman Reigns arrives & tells Paul Heyman that they’re headed to his ring, as we go to commercial.

*Roman Reigns (& the Bloodline) to the ring…Roman doesn’t like it when the cousins lose, but they can get past that because they’re family…but the Wise Man isn’t family & Roman doesn’t know if he can trust him…is he Special Counsel or an Advocate?…is he protecting Brock Lesnar from Roman?…Paul Heyman says he’s protecting Roman from Brock Lesnar…Roman hugs Heyman, thanks him for his honesty, & 40 years of service to his family…then fires him & delivers a Superman Punch…as the Usos set Heyman up on a steel chair & hand Roman a 2^nd chair, Brock Lesnar makes his way to the ring…Lesnar tears through the Usos…Roman works Lesnar over with several chair shots but Lesnar shakes them off & scoops Roman up for an F-5…and another F-5 as Chicago erupts & the show ends.
