December 28th NXT 2.0

*Live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL.

*Grayson Waller to the ring…refers to himself as the breakout star of the year…he talks trash about AJ Styles & the fans…Dexter Lumis isn’t cleared for their match tonight, so his replacement will be…Odyssey Jones…Waller decides he doesn’t want any of Jones & starts to leave, but returns to the ring after Jones calls him a bitch.

(1)  Grayson Waller defeats Odyssey Jones…Waller rips off a turnbuckle pad trying in vain to avoid a powerbomb…seconds later Waller avoids a corner charge & Jones runs face first into the exposed turnbuckle ring…Waller hits a jumping Stunner for the win (08:07)…AFTER…AJ Styles appears on the ‘tron to tell Waller he’ll see him at New Year’s Evil.

*Raquel Gonzalez & Cora Jade backstage with McKenzie…they’ll work as a team tonight just like they did at War Games…Io Shirai interrupts, she wants a shot at the winner of the triple threat…Kay Lee Ray interrupts, she wants a shot at that title, too…Mandy Rose appears on the nearby monitor to tell Io & KLR to team up & face Raquel & Cora (in the place of Gigi & Jacy) in tag team action & the winners will be her opponents in the triple threat.

*Xyon Quinn backstage promo…tells Elektra it’s either him or Legado…she must decide.

*MSK to the ring…Riddle appears on the ‘tron to encourage them…Imperium out to tell MSK the titles are staying with them…WALTER appears on the ‘tron to tell MSK they don’t deserve a shot at those titles…Riddle returns & cuts Walter off & proposes a 6-man tag next week…Imperium accepts.

*Edris Enofe backstage with McKenzie…Von Wagner interrupts to tell him he got lucky last week…Malik Blade comes to Enofe’s side to tell Wagner, “a win is a win”…Wagner pie-faces Blade & refs quickly get between them as the shoving starts.

*Harland & Joe Gacy in the ring…Brian Kendrick has let them down by not showing up…Andre Chase interrupts, as he sees a “teachable moment”…Gacy thanks Chase for volunteering to replace Kendrick…that’s not what Chase meant, but the bell rings…

(2)  Harland defeats Andre Chase…Harland bounces Chase’s head off the mat until the referee calls for the stoppage (01:00)…AFTER…a Chase U student tends to Chase…Harland yanks the student out of the ring & walks off with the student over his shoulder.

*Santos Escobar (with Wilde & Mendoza) backstage…he asks Elektra what’s going on with Xyon Quinn…before she can answer, Solo Sikoa walks into the hallway & excuses himself for interrupting…but Santos won’t let it go, so Sikoa suggests they hash it out in the ring later.

(3)  Tiffany Stratton defeats Fallon Henley…Stratton muffs a handspring lariat into the corner but recovers by blowing a kiss to the crowd before hitting a Flatliner for the win (02:37).

*Tony D’Angelo promo…his “grandfaddah” taught him how to deal with bullies…tells Pete Dunne that if he comes back, the next beating will be a whole lot worse.

*Roderick Strong & Carmelo Hayes contract signing…Bivens translates Trick’s nonsense into English…Melo says he will unify the titles next week…Strong says he will walk out as a 2-time North American Champion…they sign…Melo leaves…Bivens teases Trick about losing to Dexter…Trick gets in Bivens’ face…Creed Brothers put Trick through the table.

*NXT Tag Team Division video package…4 teams, 1 goal…Grizzled Young Veterans, Creed Brothers, Briggs & Jensen, Jacket Time…seems like another mini-tournament is on the horizon.

(4)  Solo Sikoa defeats Santos Escobar…around the 14 minute mark, Xyon Quinn makes his way to ringside to confront Elektra…Santos takes out Quinn with a suicide dive…Santos rolls back in & immediately eats a superkick…Sikoa follows up with an Uso Splash for the win (15:17).

*Harland has taken the Chase U. student to the roof of the PC…as Harland approaches the edge, Gacy talks him into letting the student go.

*Boa attacks Solo Sikoa backstage.

*Tommaso Ciampa & Bron Breakker video package.

(5)  Von Wagner defeats Malik Blade…Wagner hits his flipping butterfly suplex for the win (04:01)…AFTER…Wagner goes for more punishment on Blade but Edris Enofe pulls Blade out of harm’s way…Robert Stone watches from a monitor in the back.

(6)  Raquel Gonzalez & Cora Jade defeat Io Shirai & Kay Lee Ray…Raquel hits the Chingona Bomb on KLR but stumbles back towards her corner & Cora makes a blind tag…Raquel knocks her own teammate off the cover…as they argue, KLR knocks Cora into Raquel, sending Raquel to the floor…KLR rolls Cora up but Raquel recovers in time to turn them over for Cora to get the pin & the win (10:54)…AFTER…Mandy Rose shows up on the ‘tron…says their selfishness will cost them any chance at her title.
