February 16th Impact
Impact Results Provided by Jeff Johnson Wrestling Soundoff
Check back for the February 16th Impact Results. The show begins at 8:00 PM.
BTI has to be looked at as a success for Twitch alone as there are 3000 people watching at the start of Impact.
Previously on Impact Wrestling, we are getting the recap of the Tag Team Championship Match and World Title Match from No Surrender.
JOSH ALEXANDER VS. TJP – X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
- Starting off strong with the match everyone is saying they wanted to see. Excited to see what these two do.
- I think TJP is one of the few that can actually match up with Josh Alexander as a counter machine. Both just can pull almost anything out.
- TJP is clearly busted open as you can see the blood in his teeth while selling the submission from Alexander.
- Great slingshot into the second turnbuckle by Alexander to get out of the Hanging Arm Triangle from TJP.
- Alexander playing possum decks TJP before TJ can hit the mamba splash from the top. TJP fights him off and goes for the Mamba Splash but hits knees and gets put in the Ankle Lock.
- TJP fights out and we’re back to square one in a great back and forth with both down.
- Detonation Kick from TJP followed by a Mamba Splash and TJP retains to my surprise.
- MATCH TIME: 11:22
Tommy Dreamer Backstage
- Gia is catching up with Tommy Dreamer who is coming out from Scott’s office. Dreamer mentions something Moose said on BTI.
- Dreamer says Swann isn’t here tonight but he is and will be facing Moose in an Old School Rules match tonight.
Myers Backstage
- Pirate Brian Myers is coming in with Hernandez looking for his money and looking for more to beat Cardona tonight.
- Fallah Bahh comes up after Myers leaves but Hernandez says Fallah Bahh has a gambling problem.
- Hernandez tells Fallah Bahh to turn $10 into $20 and they will talk.
WILLIE MACK VS. DAIVARI VS. SUICIDE VS. TREY MIGUEL – FOUR WAY MATCH
- Suicide has his own shirt? Which wrestler gets the merchandise for it? Or is only one person playing Suicide now?
- Anyone think it was a missed opportunity not to have Willie Mack Samoan Drop Daivari after doing it to Suicide and Trey Miguel?
- Mediora from Trey Miguel to Suicide and he gets the pinfall victory in a quick fun match.
- MATCH TIME: 4:58
Sami Callihan
- Backstage, Sami Callihan is waiting for Trey when he comes through the door from the Arena. Sami gets in his about Trey not winning in the end at No Surrender.
- Trey walks off but you can tell Sami is getting under the skin of Trey.
- Ace Austin is walking into Scott D’Amore’s office where he and TJP are talking. Austin says he is the rightful Number One Contender for winning the Super X Cup.
- Scott says he can have an opportunity. Austin will be in a Six Man Tag and the winning team will face off the following week in a triple threat to be Number 1 Contender.
HERNANDEZ W/ BRIAN MYERS VS. MATT CARDONA
- No Eddie Edwards to make the odds even with Myers out there in Hernandez’s corner.
- Did Matt Cardona seriously just land on the back of Hernandez and it have no real impact? Hernandez just held his weight like nothing.
- Back from commercial in time for Matt Cardona to make his comeback against Hernandez.
- Radio Silence from Cardona and he gets the pinfall victory on Hernandez. I guess that means Hernandez doesn’t get the other half.
- MATCH TIME: 7:45
- Post match, Myers is not happy with Hernandez not getting it done.
- Gia then gets in the ring to interview Matt Cardona on his victory. He says he is not here to talk about Brian Myers. Myers comes back to the ring and says why did Matt have to come here as Brian got here first.
- Hernandez attacks Cardona from behind with Eddie coming down for the save.
Video package to hype to debut of Fin Juice, David Finlay and Juice Robinson which is coming up next.
Schiavone and TK
- A post St. Valentine’s Day paid advertisement from Tony and TK or as he is now known “The Forbidden Door.”
- Apparently, TK’s accountant allows him to write off the money he gives to Impact as a charitable donation.
Havok and Nevaeh
- Havok is walking backstage and finally finds Nevaeh about her walking off. Nevaeh says should they even be a team after she lost the last two times.
- Tenille walks in having overheard and offers her services as a partner for Havok. Nevaeh gets pissed and challenges Tenille to a match now.
- Havok offers to watch her back but Nevaeh says she is doing this on her own.
RENO SCUM (LUSTER THE LEGEND & ADAM THORNSTOWE) VS. FIN JUICE (JUICE ROBINSON & DAVID FINLAY)
- Man does Juice Robinson look so different from the last time I saw him in NXT.
- Does anyone think Reno Scum has any chance in this? You know, seeing as this is their first appearance on Impact in a while.
- Finlay and Thornstowe on the top with a superplex followed by the Splash from Juice Robinson to get the pinfall victory.
- MATCH TIME: 4:11
- Post match, Fin Juice are celebrating when the Good Brothers music hits and they come out to call Fin Juice the “boys” but they love Boys.
- Good Brothers promote their booze and offer the Boys to buy their stuff.
- Juice lets them know they aren’t young boys anymore as this isn’t 2015. They said they will get the first round if Karl promises not to pass out before midnight.
Rohit and Sheera
- Rohit Raju and Sheera are drinking at a bar with Raju pissed that Sheera cost him the match at No Surrender.
- Sheera causes Rohit to end up smashing booze on James Storm. One thing leads to another and Rohit gets a beer bottle over his head.
- Swinger joins the fun and he tells Storm and Sabin they won’t get thrown out and the booze is cheaper as are the girls.
- Back to Swinger’s Palace which reminds Chris Sabin of Wrestlemania Nine.
- James Storm is asking Alisha if she is Beyonce and then breaks out in a rap.
- Fallah Bahh walks in and loses the $10 in one hand.
- Sabin and Storm are loving how crazy this place is.
TENILLE DASHWOOD W/ KALEB WITH A K VS. NEVAEH
- Hoping this is leading to Nevaeh getting a lot more of a story and becomes more than just the partner of Havok.
- Doesn’t take long for us to head to commercial after this one starts.
- Back from commercial with Tenille in control of Nevaeh having recovered from the shot to the ringpost.
- Nevaeh has started the comeback and even avoids the interference from Kaleb but only gets a two count.
- Two two counts back to back for Nevaeh starts to get her angry which makes her sloppy.
- Tenille hits her splash in the corner before her Aussie Kick to get the pinfall victory.
- MATCH TIME: 9:08
- Post match, we get a picture of Tenille with her arm being raised.
Another recap of the attack by Moose after the Main Event of No Surrender between Dreamer and Swann.
Video promo from Violent By Design with Deaner telling Jake Something that he had the chance to join them and now he has to suffer for turning them down.
Deaner says he needs to right the wrong of Doering having to make Jake suffer. Deaner is going to face Jake Something in a Tables Match next week, without Doering and EY.
Deonna and Kimber are trying to stop Susan from picking a fight with Jazz. Deonna then asks Scott, who is standing right there, if Susan and Kimber can get a Tag Team Title shot.
Scott says that would be a great match but a second great match would be so makes Kimber & Susan vs. Jazz & Grace next week for the #1 Contendership.
TOMMY DREAMER VS. MOOSE – OLD SCHOOL RULES MATCH
- Love that Striker is putting over Moose’s bad ass credibility by wearing hoop ear rings because he is not afraid someone will rip them out.
- Moose taking it to Dreamer while telling Dreamer this is not about Tommy and it is about Rich.
- Moose tells Tommy he is a fat piece of garbage but Dreamer goes low allowing him to start the comeback.
- Cutter from Dreamer but only a one count as Moose kicks out with authority.
- Moose searching under the ring for some more hardware and has found a table and looks to set it up in the ring.
- Dreamer ends up spearing Moose through the table immediately after Moose sets it up in the corner.
- Kendo Stick in hand he starts to hit Moose with it but he no sells them and Uranagi followed by the spear gives Moose the win.
- MATCH TIME: 12:59
- Post match, Moose celebrates with his TNA World Heavyweight Championship before leaving the ring admiring the destruction in the ring.
