I’ll be live blogging throughout the pre-show and the main show.

Pre Show

  • PBR Kickoff Show hosted by Lenny Leonard and Pollo del Mar.
  • We just caught a glimpse of the ring, and it is far more professional looking than any previous GCW show. They don’t typically have a ring apron, rails, or mats – -> but they do here.

(1) Big Vin wins the Pabst Blue Ribbon Battle Royal

  • Participants: Psycho Clown, Dark Sheik, Cole Radrick, Parrow, Ruckus, KTB, Juicy Finau, 2 Hot Steve Scott, Nate Webb, Big Vin, Hoodfoot, Janai Kai, Dustin Thomas, Marcus Mathers, Yoya, Charles Mason, B. Boy, Lufisto, Thunder Rosa,
  • Psycho Clown eliminates Steve Scott
  • I thought that traditional PPV would prevent GCW from using non-licensed music (my assumption), and I have already been proven wrong. Teenage Dirtbag for Nate Webb.
  • Cole Radrick eliminated (by Psycho Clown I think).
  • Marcus Mathers eliminated by someone.
  • Parrow eliminates Dark Sheik
  • Psycho Clown and Hoodfoot both eliminated.
  • Juicy is out too – hard to catch the eliminations.
  • Dustin Thomas eliminated.
  • Yoya eliminated
  • Nate Webb and B. Boy eliminated by Lufisto.
  • Thunder Rosa eliminates Parrow
  • Charles Mason eliminates Thunder Rosa
  • Lufisto eliminated by Big Vin
  • Big Vin eliminates Charles Mason for the victory.

Emil Jay is Splitting Ring Announcing with Stephen DeAngelis

(2) Kickoff Scramble Match – Grim Reefer defeats Shane Mercer, Dante Leon, Jack Cartwheel, Ninja Mack, Alex Zayne – 07:55

  • Grim Reefer lit up within the first 90 seconds of the match. Also – tons of high flying in the same time period.
  • Dante Leon hit two ridiculous cutters in the first six minutes of this match. Ninja Mack has defied gravity a bunch too.
  • Mercer is using the match to showcase his strength and Jack Cartwheel is doing all sorts of flips and shooting star presses to the floor.
  • Grim Reefer used a tornado DDT on a chair to get the pinfall victory over Shane Mercer.

Chris Dickinson and Brett Lauderdale to the Ring

  • Lauderdale says there is no place he’d rather be than New York F’N City.
  • Brett says he started GCW when he was working two jobs (delivering Chinese Food and Pizza).
    • He tells the story of one of his partners saying, “I’ve seen a million GCW’s come and go. It will never last.” Reiterates that there is only one F’N GCW.
  • Dickinson Warms Up the Crowd
    • As the crowd chants “Dirty Daddy”
    • Dickinson announces that he’ll return Spring Break weekend.

Stephen DeAngelis Thanks GCW for Letting Him Be a Guest

Main Show

Long time WWE fans will recognize Vlad who is a WWE Superfan that sat front row at all your favorite WWF shows from your childhood.

(3) AJ Gray defeats Jordan Oliver, Alex Colon, Jimmy Lloyd, Tony Deppen, G-Raver, PCO, AJ Gray – 16:55

  • AJ Gray was a surprise seventh entrant.
  • They have three ladders of various heights at their disposal this evening.
  • So GCW has instant replay . . . they apparently have greater production value than New Japan Pro Wrestling now.
  • AJ Gray just ate shit trying to jump off a massive ladder.
  • After John Wayne Murdoch comes out to take Alex Colon. . .AJ Gray recovered and grabbed the brass ring.

Gringo Loco, Arez, Flamita defeats Bandido, ASF, Laredo Kid- Six Way Lucha Match

  • This is a lucha rules match.
  • Part way through the match, we saw a chicken fight where each side was three people high. The payoff was the top guy (ASF) on one stack doing a Canadian Destroyer on the top guy from the other stack
  • This match was absolutely nuts.
  • Gringo Loco used a piledriver to get the pinfall victory.
  • As is customary after killer lucha matches, fans tossed money in the ring.

Blake Christian defeats Lio Rush – 12:35

  • Ian Riccoboni is out for commentary on this match because it was supposed to be Blake Christian v. Jonathan Gresham. Gresham is apparently not there.
  • Rush hit the Final Hour deep in the match, but Christian kicked out as the fans warm up to a “Lio Rush” and “All Heart” dueling chant.
  • Christian hit his 450 double stomp for the pinfall victory.

Matt Cardona defeats Joey Janela – 19:40

  • Cardona comes out to Enter Sandman . . . which draws a lot of boos.
  • Chelsea Green and Matt got on the mic to explain how everyone is ungrateful.
  • Part way through the match, Matt tossed his shirt into the crowd. They tore it up and threw it back.
  • Chelsea climbed in the match and hit Cardona with a low blow and then encouraged Joey to go to the top rope. Once Joey was on top she knocked him off. Cardona was wearing a “protective device.”
  • Joey Janela was about to hit Cardona with the Internet Championship, but Mark Sterling ran out with a microphone. If Janela uses the belt, he will be disqualified. Mark says someone very influential in Matt’s career is here. No Chance in Hell plays and out comes someone with a Vince McMahon mask. . .it’s Virgil.
  • Swoggle also comes out from underneath the ring and bites Janela on the backside. Sam Stackhouse hits Swoggle with an avalanche in the corner followed by a moonsault (but he missed).
  • Marko Stunt runs in next and hits Swoggle with a chair, but Cardona hits Stunt with a reverse DDT.
  • Janela makes a comeback. Stunt used a double stomp through a table on Swoggle and Janela uses an elbow smash through Cardona and a table. Chelsea hits Swoggle with a destroyer, and then Janela attempts to give Chelsea a piledriver, but Cardona hits Janela with a chair.
  • Brian Myers came to the ring and interfered, which led directly to the finish. Cardona used the Radio Silence through the table to get that win.
  • As the crowd began to toss crap in the ring, X-Pac came to the ring and cleared out both Brian Myers and Matt Cardona.

Mance Warner to the Ring

  • Says they have the best locker room, commentators, camera people, fan, etc. . .
  • Atticus Cogar comes out next to say F$$$ all these people.
  • Warner says that the doctor said he couldn’t wrestle, but he never said anything about beating somebody’s a$$. Cogar takes him down quickly, but Matthew Justice comes out to make the save.
  • 44OH hits the ring and swarms Warner and Justice.
  • Lights out and when they come back on Sabu and Bill Alfonso were in the ring. The good guys save the night.

Ruby Soho defeats Allie Katch – 09:30

  • Ruby pulled Allie off the ropes and straight into the Riott Kick for the pinfall victory.

Jeff Jarrett defeats Effy – 11:14

  • Jeff Jarrett hit Effy with a big guitar shot and then while Effy’s face was still in the guitar, Jarret rammed Effy’s face into the mat. Jeff got the pin.

Jon Moxley defeats Homicide – GCW World Championship – 11:23

  • Moxley used a Paradigm Shift on a chair for the pinfall victory.

Nick Gage and Matt Tremont defeat The Briscoe’s – Open Challenge for the GCW Tag Titles – 05:40

  • Matt Tremont comes out first to little to no fan fair. Nick Gage comes out next and the place goes crazy.
  • Gage put one fo the Briscoe’s through a table with a piledriver for the pinfall victory.
  • Gage and Tremont are the new tag team champs.

Gage Celebrated with MDK After the Match
