Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, and Jey Uso Come to the Ring

  • Michael Cole announces a gauntlet match to determine Roman’s opponent at Royal Rumble: King Corbin , Rey Mysterio, Daniel Bryan, Sami Zayn, and Shinsuke Nakamura
  • Roman says he didn’t want to do what he had to do to Kevin Owens. He cares about everybody and their well being.
  • Reigns calls out Adam Pearce.
  • Paul throws a tantrum until Adam walks out.
  • Reigns shows Adam Pearce what happened last week.
  • Roman bullies Adam Pearce for making the Gauntlet Match. Pearce says that he’s trying to put the best challengers in front of Reigns. Apparently Reigns wanted to pick his opponent.
  • Roman grabs Pearce by the suit, but he eventually releases Adam without doing anything. Reigns says Pearce is safe right now.

Big E v. Apollo Crews is Next

Big E defeats Apollo Crews – 06:11

  • Apollo comes after Big E right at the bell and gets an early advantage that doesn’t last for very long.
  • Crews hit Big E with a super-plex and the referee counted to 3. It was unclear whether Apollo won or if both men’s shoulders were on the mat. Smackdown went to commercial.
  • The referee ruled the match a draw, but Apollo smacked Big E across the face. Big E had the referee restart the match.
  • Big E hits the Big Ending for the pinfall victory.

Adam Pearce with Sonya Deville

  • Sonya is apparently going to be doing some work with Adam.
  • Pearce clarifies that he’s not putting himself in a match tonight (apparently that was a possibility). Pearce doesn’t think he could beat the referee much less Roman Reigns.

Backstage Interview with Bianca Belair

  • Belair declares for the Royal Rumble
  • Bayley interrupts <<Ding Dong>>
  • They discuss whether Bayley squandered her title reign or Bianca will squander a Rumble victory.
  • Bayley also declares for the Rumble.

Commentary Team Talks About Sports Illustrated Naming Bayley #1 Wrestler in 2020

  • Carmella says it only happened because she was on an extended vacation.

Ziggler and Roode defeat The Street Profits – 14:27

  • The story of this match is Montez Ford and his leg issues.
  • Ziggler and Roode hit a combination Spine Buster and Zig Zag for the pinfall victory.
  • Roode and Ziggler are the new Tag Team Champions.

Sonya and Adam Pearce Speak About What’s Next in Tag Division

  • Heyman comes by to smooth things over.
  • Paul talks about “Scrap Daddy Pearce.” Imagine if you were managed by Paul E. Dangerously.
  • Paul says he pulled some strings and got Pearce in the Gauntlet match. Paul is proud of Pearce.

Replay of Billie Kay at Ringside with the Riott Squad

  • Billie suggests that the Riott Duo become a Riott Squad again. While Ruby said they aren’t interested, Liv tried to soften the blow to Billie.
  • Kay took that to mean that she was in. After all, Billie did add “Mosh Pitting Expert” to her Resume.

Adam Pearce Wins the Gauntlet Match – 39:30

  • Rey Mysterio Comes Out first followed by Sami Zayn. Sami says it is a conspiracy that bad things keep happening to him. Zayn has hired a documentary crew to follow him around.
  • When Zayn finally got in the match, he immediately got hit with a 619 and a Frog Splash for the pinfall.

  • Shinsuke Nakamura comes out next.
  • Mysterio hit the 619, but Nakamura put his knees up when Mysterio attempted the Frog Splash. Nakamura locked in an arm-bar for a submission victory.

  • King Corbin came out next. Corbin threw Nakamura out of the ring and started beating up Rey Mysterio.
  • Shinsuke Nakamura hit King Corbin with the Kinshasa for the pinfall victory.

  • Daniel Bryan was doing his running kicks in the corner when Nakamura came out and hit the Kinshasa for the pinfall victory.

  • Roman Reigns Comes Out.
  • Jey Uso and Roman Reigns beat up Shinsuke Nakamura.
  • Uso hit Pearce with a superkick and draped Pearce over Nakamura for the pinfall victory.
  • Pearce will now face Reigns at the Royal Rumble.
