WWE RAW RECAP – July 26, 2021

*Nikki A.S.H. addressees the Universe as their NEW Raw Women’s Champion, “we can all almost be superheroes”…Charlotte interrupts, she wasn’t even on her feet when the ref rang the bell last week, so Nikki STOLE that title…she will have her rematch at SummerSlam…Rheainterrupts, Charlotte got herself intentionally DQ’ed so it should be me (Rhea) who gets the title shot at SummerSlam…Pearce/Sonya out in front of the ‘tron…let’s make it a triple threat at SummerSlam…Charlotte wants a match tonight to prove Nikki is not on her level…Nikki accepts, Pearce makes it so…Charlotte attacks Rhea & tosses her out of the ring…Nikki dropkicks Charlotte through the ropes, holds the ring.

*Damien Priest backstage promo…Sheamus isn’t a champion, he’s a coward & a bully.

(1)  Damien Priest defeats Sheamus…in a Championship Contender’s Match…Priest knocks Sheamus’ headgear off midway through the match…Priest hits The Reckoning (guess he got the name back) for the win (10:53)…AFTER…Sheamus screaming for a doctor, “he re-broke my nose!”

(2)  AJ/Omos defeat Viking Raiders…retain the Raw Tag Team Championship…Omos with 2-handed chokeslam…AJ follows with 450 Splash on Erik for the win (10:04).

(3)  Veer defeats Drew McIntyre by DQ…Jinder offers Drew the opportunity to apologize or face legal action & introduces his attorney (I will make no attempt to spell the name that came out of Jinder’s mouth)…Drew declines…match begin…Jinder slides a chair in to Veer…Drew Claymores the chair into Veer’s face causing the DQ (03:51)…Drew is announced as the winner by DQ but clearly this is a mistake, which Graves corrects on commentary…AFTER…Drew grab’s Jinder’s attorney & tosses him into the ring to deliver a Claymore.

(4)  Natty/Tamina defeat Eva/Doudrop…in a Championship Contender’s Match…Eva is distracted by LILLY-lution video on the ‘tron…Tamina with a superkick to Eva for the win (03:13)…AFTER…Natty helped up the ramp…seems to have a legit right leg injury.

(5)  Karrion Kross defeats Keith Lee…Kross hits Doomsday Saito, Forearm to the back of the skull…locks in KrossJacket for the submission win (09:27).

*Nikki A.S.H. backstage with Sarah…says her positivity has served her well…Rhea interrupts, believes she will leave SummerSlam with Nikki’s title, but tonight hopes Nikki gives Charlotte hell.

(6)  Mustafah Ali/Mansoor defeat Mace/T-Bar…Mace catches Mansoor attempting to springboard back into the ring, goozles him…Mansoor reverses into a wheelbarrow roll up for the win (03:12).

*Bobby Lashley/MVP to the ring…Goldberg’s challenge was disrespectful & Bobby will not be disrespected by anyone…Cedric Alexander interrupts, wants an opportunity…Shelton Benjamin interrupts, he’s here to give the champ a real challenge…Bobby says he’ll face them both at the same time…

(7)  Bobby Lashley defeats Cedric/Shelton…in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match…Jackhammer to Shelton, Dominator to Cedric onto Shelton for the double-stack win (02:41).

*Miz/Morrison backstage…AJ/Omos approach…AJ has something important to discuss…Omos blocks the camera to give them some privacy.

(8)  Morrison defeats Riddle…pre-match, Byron Saxton gets soaked by the Drip Stick…mid-match, Miz sprays Riddle with Drip Stick, Riddle hits running PK to Miz’s chest & knocks him over in his wheelchair…AJ/Omos make their way out…Riddle climbs for the Floating Bro but gets distracted when Omos snaps his scooter in 2…this allows Morrison to hit Starship Pain for the win (10:10)…AFTER…AJ attacks Riddle, hits Styles Clash.

(9)  Reginald defeats R-Truth…to retain the 24/7 Championship…Reggie wrestles in his burnt orange suit, Truth never removes his headset mic…Reggie hits a tumbling 360 senton & rolls Truth up for the win (01:28)…AFTER…Reggie evades the rest of the 24/7 division with his athleticism & does back handsprings up the entryway.

*Charlotte in Gorilla Position with Sarah…tired of her division being run down by Almost Superstars…tonight she’ll prove it to the Almost Superhero.

(10)  Charlotte defeats Nikki A.S.H.…in a Championship Contender’s Match…Nikki hits the high cross body but Charlotte rolls through & hooks a leg for the win (12:36)…AFTER…Charlotte reminds Nikki she’s not on her level…Nikki wants a rematch next week, Charlotte accepts because she can beat her any week…Charlotte offers a left-handed handshake, followed by a right forearm to the face, rolls Nikki out to beat her in front of a young fan in the front row with a Nikki sign…back in, big boot to Nikki’s face & Charlotte stands over her & pantomimes the belt around her waist as the show ends.
