• He thanks Edge for helping him rediscover the legend killer.
• Randy says he would like to thank him in person, but he’s in surgery.
• Christian comes out and calls Orton a son of a bitch.
• Orton is pissed that Christian interrupted him, but he says he thinks Christian wants one more
• After challenging Christian to an unsanctioned match, Orton gives him to the end of the night to accept.

Charly Caruso with Zelina Vega and Angel Garza

• Garza cut off Zelina to cut a passionate promo while looking into CHarly’s eyes. He hopes Andrade will get over the disappointment.
• Andrade comes by to say he hopes that Garza beats Owens, but if he doesn’t . . . he hopes he’ll get over the disappointment.

Kevin Owens defeats Angel Garza – 06:42

• Rating 7 out of 10
• Andrade comes to ringside fairly early.
• When Andrade and Garza get in a spat, Zelina Vega tells them she’s sick of it. She leaves as Raw goes to commercial.
• Andrade hooked Owens’ leg, but Andrade ended up distracting the referee.
• That led to Garza getting stunned and losing the match.
• Vega comes out to tell them to start fighting together.

• MVP and Lashley say they’re having a strategy session. A private conversation.
• Sarah Schreiber wants to know about Lana, but MVP cuts her off.

MVP In-Ring Interview

• MVP blames Lana for Bobby not being champion. He says Drew McIntyre is a coward for not giving Lashley another title opportunity on the spot.
• Lana comes out. She does everything for Bobby including getting a divorce.
• Bobby sides with MVP and tells Lana he wants a divorce.

• Continues the rhetoric about Rey Mysterio sacrificing himself.
• Mysterio comes on the screen. Seth wants Dominick to join Murphy and Theory.
• Dominick came in, tossed Rollins into the stairs, and evaded Rollins, Murphy, and Theory.

R-Truth Feels Bad for Lashley

• He heard that Lashley got sent to Claymore Country. Truth says he must be jet lagged.

• The Iiconics use Fall From Grace to secure the pinfall victory over Liv Morgan

Post Match

• The Iiconics say they want to face Sasha and Bayley one on one. They challenge Sasha and Bayley to a Tag Team Title Match on Raw.
• Since Sasha and Bayley didn’t come out, the Iiconics say they know somebody that can make the match.

Christian Backstage with the Big Show

• Show says either don’t take the match or go shut Randy up.

Natalya Yells at Liv Morgan Backstage

• Natalya says she totally understands why Ruby left her behind.
• As Morgan leaves, Natalya talks about how she built the division and gets no credit.
• Lana approaches Natalya to talk about how she feels about the divorce.
• Appears to be a new alliance

Christian Interview on the Ramp

• Christian says he has nothing to prove, but he won’t be disrespected
• He accepts the match.

MVP Talks to Apollo Crews

• He warns Apollo that he might burn out if he keeps taking on all comers.
• MVP offers his services, but Apolo declines. This leads MVP to tell Apollo that the only way he keeps the US title is to have MVP in his corner.

Ric Flair Backstage with Charlotte

• Ric wants to know who Charlotte will feud with next.

Apollo Crews defeats Shelton Benjamin – 02:18

After Shelton Benjamin attempted to use the ropes to secure a pinfall, Apollo Crews rolled up Benjamin and hooked the middle rope to get the pin.

Tozawa and the Ninjas Meet Up with R-Truth

• Drew McIntyre comes up from behind and the ninjas leave.
  McIntyre wants to make sure R-Truth understands the gravity of the situation. He says he does.

Charly Asks if Nia is Too Menacing

• Asuka says Nia Jax started the fight and Asuka will finish it.

R-Truth fixed the Situaion

• Now it will just be Drew’s title on the line.

Street Profits and Viking Raiders Backstage

• Big Show comes by to give out some advice. He suggests that maybe they resolve the big rivalry by having a tag title match next week.

R-Truth and McIntyre defeat MVP and Lashley – 09:17

• After Drew McIntyre hits MVP with a Claymore, he tags R-Truth in to get the pinfall victory over MVP.

Ric Flair Speaks to Christian

• Flair tells Christian that he’s not ready
• Christian can’t be talked out of it.

Sasha Banks and Bayley Come to Ringside

• Commentary hypes the match with Tegan Nox and Shotzi Blackheart on Wednesday.
• Bayley wants us to know it’s her birthday
• Sasha wants the Iiconics to never tell them when to they’ll defend their belts.
• Billie Kay and Peyton Royce came out wanting an answer to their challenge.
• The Iiconics remind Sasha and Bayley that they beat them for the titles at last year’s WrestleMania.
• After Sasha Banks gets slapped, Bayley accepts the challenge.

Rey Mysterio Returns Next Week

Asuka defeats Nia Jax – 08:51

• Nia Jax hit a Samoan Drop on Asuka, but Asuka’s foot was under the rope. When the referee didn’t count, Nia shoved him. As Cone went to call for the bell, Asuka rolled up Nia Jax and the referee counted the pinfall victory.
• Potentially a fast count.

Backstage with Randy Orton

• He wants to know if Charly thinks Christian is a legend. She says yes.
• Then he says he’ll destroy the legend with the RKO.

Match Announcements Next Week

• Iiconics vs. Sasha Banks and Bayley – Tag Titles on the Line

Randy Orton defeats Christian – 01:01

• Before Mike Rome can complete the announcement, Ric Flair comes out.
• Ric tries to stop Christian, but Christian won’t listen.
• As Ric leaves, he gives Christian a low blow.
• Orton executes the punt and pins Christian

Post Match

• Orton appears to show some remorse, but he says it is Christian’s fault

• Edge was reportedly injured during the match with Randy Orton.
• Dominick Mysterio has accepted Seth Rollins’ invitation to appear on Raw.
• Will the Street Profits and Viking Raiders have a match?

Speculation

Whenever WWE ratings slip, management typically consolidates star power onto both brands. This effectively eliminates the brand split. We saw indications of this in recent weeks with the “invitational.”

Since this didn’t improve ratings, we may see Smackdown and Raw rosters more fully integrated in weeks to come.

We likely won’t really know until it happens.
