                    Great-O-Khan defeats Tetsuya Naito in Round 1 of the New Japan Cup – 20:20

                    • Great-O-Khan held Tetsuya Naito in a leg lock until the referee called for a stoppage.

                    Kota Ibushi (c) defeats El Desperado – Final Defense of the IWGP Double Championship

                    • Taichi accompanied Desperado to the ring for the match.
                    • El Desperado held Ibushi in the stretch muffler toward the end of the match. Ibushi appeared to be in danger.
                    • Ibushi rolled through and hit a Kame-Goye. Despy kicked out.
                    • Ibushi set up and hit a second Kame-Goye for the pinfall victory.
                    • After the match, Ibushi acknowledged Desperado by raising his arm. Desperado clasped Ibushi’s hand in a mutual show of respect.
