Recap of Last Weeks Nick Aldis and Marty Scurll Interview

Nick came on camera to say that he laid down the challenge seven days ago, and Marty hasn’t responded. He has been trying to figure out why. . .is Marty less confident? His patience wears thin, so he said he doesn’t have to accept, but he does need to respond (at least with a counter). He wants the response by ROH Free Enterprise on 2/9

Interview with Pope and Dawsons

Pope says the fact that he hangs with the Dawsons has no reflection on Eddie Kingston, but it does reflect poorly on Homicide. Eddie Kingston came out. The NWA asked Eddie Kingston to not beat up the Pope, but Kingston says he should. He told Pope and the Dawsons to stop talking down on Homicide because he made champions in other companies. Kingston went on to say he has friends in the business and here they are. . .it is the Bouncers from ROH. The Bouncers and Kingston stood in the ring and asked the Pope and Dawsons to fight. Pope and Dawsons left.

Recap of Trevor Murdoch letting Aron Stevens that he had a Title Match This Week

May Valentine Video

Very skippable, but they advanced/recapped the conflict with Royce Isaacs.

Trevor Murdoch vs. Aron Stevens (Champion) Ended in a Draw – NWA National Championship Match

Match begins with a collar and elbow tie up a side headlock takeover by both men. Murdoch then sent Stevens to the canvas with a hard right hand. Murdoch followed up with a pari of scoop slams. The referee ejected the Question Mark. With Murdoch on the outside, Stevens got a baseball slide and slammed Murdoch’s face into the apron. Back in the ring, Murdoch charged Stevens and fell over the top rope when Stevens pulled down the top rope.

Murdoch got back in the ring, but Stevens dumped him back out. When Murdoch got back in the ring, Stevens rained down with fists and knees. Stevens again threw him to the outside apparently looking for a count out victory.

Back in the ring, Murdoch blocked an attempt to ram his head into the top turnbuckle. He didn’t maintain the offense long though as Stevens caught him with a swinging neck breaker. Murdoch looked to get back in the matchup, but Stevens poked him in the eyes and pushed him back to the outside. Stevens again jumped on Murdoch as he got back in the ring.

Stevens tossed Murdoch out again, but he landed on his feet. Coming back in, he hit three clotheslines. In the corner, Murdoch hit ten punches in the corner and then a full nelson slam. Stevens again went for the eyes and rolled up Murdoch for a two count. Stevens locked in a sleeper hold and then Murdoch reversed into one of his own that Stevens countered with a jaw breaker.

The bell rang as the time limit expired. Murdoch still hit his top rope bulldog for good measure.

Shawn Mooney Thanked the Audience for Support

Mooney also let us know that Scurll and Aldis will be involved in a tag team match at ROH Free Enterprise. He also reminded us about the Television Title Rules, which you can read about here.

Eli Drake and Tim Storm vs. Josephus and Mims.

Josephus knocked Eli Drake to the mat, continued to work on him in the corner, and then hit a big body slam. With Mims tagged in, Drake and Storm hit a double back elbow. James Storm delivered two chops to the back of Mims.

Eli Drake held Mims in a Firemans carry and tossed him into James Storm’s back cracker for the pinfall victory.

Thunder Rosa vs. Allysin Kay – NWA Women’s World Championship Match

Melina sat near the commentary team, but she didn’t use a headset. Kay took Thunder Rosa to the mat after a few standing switches and the two wrestlers continued to go hold for hold until Thunder Rosa put Kay in the crossface.

Rosa hit a snap mare and then a strong kick to the back. Allysin responded with the same moves. Thunder Rosa slipped to the outside, grabbed Kay’s arm, and draped it over the top rope. Rosa continued to work the arm, and she beat Kay down in the corner.

Rosa went for a head-scissors and transitioned right into a Fujiwara arm bar and then moved on to bend both arms together. Kay got to the ropes. Kay and Rosa began to trade chops, forearms, and fists. They both hit the ropes and hit each other with kicks to the face taking them both to the mat. Rosa hit a clothesline and then double knees to the chest.

Marti Belle came out and caused a distraction fro both Kay and Rosa. The match continued and Kay hit a jack hammer-like suplex for a two count. Rosa answered with a stunner for a two count and then a big German suplex.

Rosa got the victory by rolling up Kay. Melina has challenged the Rosa.
