October 23rd Road to Power Struggle
New Japan’s Road to Power Struggle Results
Check below for the October 23rd Road to Power Struggle Results. The show begins at 5:30 AM Eastern.
Yuya Uemura defeats Yota Tsuji – 09:09
- Yuya Uemura used the double underhook suplex with a bridge to pin Yota Tsuji.
Ospreay & Khan defeat Kidd & Okada – 10:18
- Ospreay and Khan attacked Gabe Kidd and Okada before the bell.
- Great-O-Khan used the Face-Palm Choke Slam for the pinfall victory over Gabriel Kidd.
BUSHI, Takahashi, Takagi defeat Kanemaru, Desperado, & Suzuki – 12:12
- Shingo Takagi hit the pumping bomber on Kanemaru for the pinfall victory.
Post Match
- Hiromu Takahashi took up the microphone to talk to Desperado and Kanemaru who are the current IWGP JR Tag Champions.
- Takahashi issued a challenge and Desperado accepted.
- The death for the match was not discussed.
Honma, Tanahashi, Ibushi defeat Gedo, KENTA, White – 10:35
- After Honma hit kokeshi on Gedo, Ibushi followed up with a kamigoye for a pinfall victory.
SANADA & Naito defeat Togo & EVIL – 12:00
- Sanada used Skull End to get the submission victory over Dick Togo.
YOSHI-HASHI, Ishii, Goto defeat DOUKI, Sabre, Taichi – 32:25
- Tons and tons of drama in this match as Suzuki Gun had Yoshi-Hashi dead to rights for a long time. Douki was supplying the majority of the offense against Yoshi-Hashi. To Douki’s credit, this has probably been his most impressive outing that I’ve seen.
- Yoshi-Hashi eventually broke free, and the Chaos faction had Douki’s number for several minutes. While Douki fought back with the same tenacity as Yoshi-Hashi for a few minutes, he eventually got pinned after Yoshi-Hashi hit Karma.
Post Match
- Yoshi-Hashi said that based on their defense of the 6-Man titles, he thinks they should get a shot at the IWGP Tag Titles. Sabre did not agree.
