PWA Movember to Remember

“PWA November to Remember” comes from Contributor “Alcoholic” Adam Pokrajac. Pokrajac routinely provides the cold hard truth on Australian Wrestling with a heavy focus on New South Wales. He believes this is the most under appreciated wrestling scene in the world today and he reviews it with a beer in his hand.

When and Where to Watch

Your favourite Alcoholic Adam breaks down PWA’s Movember To Remember event that takes place on November 7th at 4AM Eastern Time (8PM Local Time in Australia). To watch the event head over to OVO play where you can catch the action live.

The Matches

Team HVWA (Mat Diamond & CJ Phoenix v The Velocities (Jude “The Dude” London (C) & Paris De Silva (C))

How much more could you want with a hot start with some of the top high flyers in the country kicking off the night?

A major question going into the match is what’s going through the head of The Velocities going against what is supposed to be their teammate Mat Diamond. On the other hand, all Diamond does is team with everyone besides the Velocities, so where is his loyalty?

On the other side of the coin, what is Mat Diamond thinking? He is teaming with someone who grew up in the wrestling business with the Velocities.

But you know what? No one hits your harder than the people you love the most

Adam’s prediction: In what is sure to be an absolute barn burner of a match Team HVWA wins by holding the edge over The Velocities with CJ Phoenix not affected with this Mat Diamond and Velocities problem.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Diamond turns heel on the Velocities and shows his true colours.

Shazza McKenzie v Kyle Fletcher

In this contest, we have some PWA O.G.’s going head to head.

Shazza has wrestled for PWA for the last 10 years. Kyle Fletcher received most of his training at the PWA academy and spent the first 3 years of his wrestling career at PWA before he went to Europe to hone his craft.

Adam’s prediction: Shazza has too much ring rust which eventually takes her down. She hasn’t wrestled a match since March. Fletcher has been floating between PWA and Rev Pro to keep sharp.

Generation Now (Kingsley, Matty Wahlberg, Sam Osborne) v MK Plus Ultra (Kai Drake & Michael Spencer) Lyrebird Luchi

We all know what Generation now is all about. They won’t be held down, and they take what they want

A few things to consider going into this match is that some of these wrestlers will have to eventually face off in the PWA premiership. They’ll want to build some momentum and scout future opponents.

In the case the of Sam Osborne and Kai Drake, they want to prove their time limit draw was nothing but a fluke.  Expect them to aim for some bragging rights.

Besides Osborne and Wahlberg teaming together at Call to Arms, there is not much chemistry in Generation Now compared to MK Ultra who have been teaming for over a year. MK Ultra knows each other’s tendency and what works for them as a team.

Adams prediction: Generation Now picks up the win. Kingsley’s defiant attitude prevents anyone else from defining her. What she does in the ring will define her.

More Arms for Jess Open Challenge

The Current PWA Champion Jessica Troy is holding an open challenge. If her opponent defeats her, they will get a title match at a later time.

Some opponents that are possible include

  • Robbie Eagles. Everyone is clamoring for this match. It was previously cancelled due COVID.
  • Adam Brooks. Rumor has it that Brooks is in New South Wales and will give the fans a dream match and a champion v. champion match.
  • Jack J Bonza. It very well could be against her Nations teammate. They had a draw in their match in the PWA Premiership.

Adams prediction: Jess will win the match with her Armbar.
