Rebooking Goldberg 2016-2017
“Rebooking Goldberg 2016-2017” comes from Contributor “Alcoholic” Adam Pokrajac. Pokrajac routinely provides the cold hard truth on Australian Wrestling with a heavy focus on New South Wales. He believes this is the most under appreciated wrestling scene in the world today and he reviews it with a beer in his hand.
Following Alcoholic Adam’s fantasy booking of Goldberg’s 2003-04 run, it’s time to rebook his return in 2015 and 2016.
Survivor Series: Brock Lesnar v Goldberg
- So, we keep this build relatively the same, but Goldberg comes in as a hired gun from Shane McMahon after Lesnar hit Shane with an F5 at Summerslam.
- Brock wins as it was a complete insult to the Undertaker’s streak for a part-timer to give Brock a loss.
Royal Rumble: Goldberg v Shane McMahon
- Shane thanks Goldberg for his efforts, but he is no longer needed. Goldberg doesn’t like that, and he says “what about my kid? He can’t see me go out as a loser.” Shane says, “No,” so Goldberg terrorizes the entire show until he gets a hold of Daniel Bryan. Shane gives in and gives Goldberg a match.
- Goldberg squashes Shane in a minute
Smackdown: Goldberg v The Miz in a qualifying match for the Elimination Chamber
- On Smackdown after the Rumble, Goldberg wants to win the WWE Championship for his Kid.
- Ambrose interrupts and says he is sick of these part timers getting the main events. I want main events because I love this business and I’m not just here for a pay check.
- Goldberg looks like he is going to jackhammer The Miz, but Ambrose cracks Miz with a chair. Miz qualifies via DQ
Elimination Chamber: Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE Championship – Dean Ambrose v John Cena v Randy Orton v The Miz v AJ Styles (C) v Bray Wyatt
- Final 3 are Ambrose, Orton, & AJ
- Goldberg rips off the Chamber door, spears Ambrose through the chamber. This costs Ambrose the Match.
Wrestlemania 33: Falls Count Anywhere Dean Ambrose v Goldberg
- Ambrose made it clear he wants to end Goldberg by outlasting Goldberg with weapons.
- Ambrose wins by getting down and dirty using serval weapons
- This sends Goldberg home for good.
Closing
- That’s how Alcoholic Adam would use Goldberg with his 2016-2017 run in WWE. Until next time I’ll see you at the local many bevs.
