Rebooking “THE STREAK”
“Rebooking The Streak” comes from Contributor “Alcoholic” Adam Pokrajac. Pokrajac routinely provides the cold hard truth on Australian Wrestling with a heavy focus on New South Wales. He believes this is the most under appreciated wrestling scene in the world today and he reviews it with a beer in his hand.
In honor of the Undertaker’s retirement, Alcoholic Adam has decided to rebook his Legendary undefeated streak at Wrestlemania.
#1 – Jimmy Snuka WM 7
- Snuka was one of the top names in the industry, so a great way to establish the streak.
#2 – Psycho Sid WM 8
- Psycho Sid returns to stop the destruction of the Undertaker and to show he is still the best big man in the business.
- Since we are rebooking the streak obviously other matches will be affected and changed as a result
- Jake Roberts (C) v Macho Man
- Hulk Hogan v Ric Flair
#3 – Doink the Clown Casket Match WM 9
- This isn’t hard to explain: an Evil Clown against a Zombie. There’s only room for 1 evil presence in the WWF. Imagine all the promo and production they could do.
#4 – Ted Dibiase WM 11
- It was past King Kong Bundy’s time plus it makes a lot more sense for Taker to go after Dibiase, which would pay off the Undertaker v. Undertaker feud.
#5 – Diesel WM 12
- Diesel is on his way out, and he was happy to lose Taker. It makes sense adding a big name to the list.
#6 – Vader WWF Championship WM 13
- What needs to be said here? A fantasy match if done properly. Vader dominated in WCW and Japan. The Undertaker dominated the WWF.
- We get to keep the Bret v. Taker Summerslam match, which was the best booked finish in WWF.
- Hunter Hurst Helmsley v Goldust v Mankind
- Hart Foundation v Legion of Doom
#7 – Kane WM 14
- One of the best long term booking feuds ever. Why change it.
#8 – Shane McMahon HIAC WM 15
- Vince is claiming he’s too busy to worry about the Ministry of darkness. He leaves it to Shane.
- The Undertaker wants the WWF to be under the higher power’s ruling, so he lays to rest the future CEO Shane McMahon.
- From here, we also change the identity of the Higher power.
- Changes to WM 15 Big Bosman v X-Pac (C) European Championship
9 William Regal WM 17
- Taker is sick of Regal abusing his power, so Taker makes him sign a match.
- Changes to WM 17 HHH v Jericho (C) Intercontinental Championship
10 Brothers of Destruction v Scott Hall & Kevin Nash WM 18
- A dream match we never got. We should have seen more form the Undertaker as the NWO attempted to poison the WWE.
- Kurt Angle v Ric Flair
- Steve Austin v Hulk Hogan (C) Undisputed Title
11 Chris Benoit WM 19
- Taker is impressed by Benoit, so he gives Benoit a chance to make himself famous
- Team Angle v Los Guerros & Rhyno
12 Kane WM 20
- Why wouldn’t we want this to happen?
13 Randy Orton WM 21
- To many, this was when the streak actually became a target.
14 Kurt Angle WHC WM22
- Angle feels he has achieved everything he can in WWE, and then <<Gong>>. The match is set
- Imagine their match at No Way Out with Higher Stakes.
- Changes: Randy Orton v Rey Mysterio
15 Batista WHC WM23
- The lack of intimidation shown from Batista and the disrespect shown make this feud awesome. It carried Smackdown the whole year.
16 Edge WHC WM24
- Edge finally pays for his sins on the grandest stage. The perfect setting.
- Since Edge never lost at WrestleMania, he had a shot.
17 HBK WM25
- Not much to say about WM 25. Maybe have Taker and Shawn start the build earlier and have the blow off with JBL at the Royal Rumble
- It is possibly the greatest match ever . . . making people believe that Shawn Miracles could break the streak.
18 HBK WM26
- Shawn Michaels obsession with the streak consumed him. The retirement stipulation was just the icing on the cake and should have stayed. The perfect farewell to HBK.
19 HHH Falls Count Anywhere WM 27
- HHH. Same thing. HHH claims there are no more challenges left for him conquer, so he wants to end to the streak
20 HHH HIAC WM28
- I apologize for this being lazy, but from Wrestlemania 28 it was a near perfect build every time. Every match lived up to the hype
- Undertaker’s pride requires him to walk out under his own power.
21 Cody Rhodes WM 29
- Cody is paranoid of not being able to win the big one, so he aims to be the 1 in 20-1. This would solidify Cody’s legacy.
- CM Punk (C) v John Cena WWE Championship
- The Rock v Brock
- Triple H v Del Rio (C) World Heavyweight
22 John Cena WM 30
- John Cena says something like its an honor to face you, and let’s give the fans a match they deserve. Cena needs to win and prove to himself, that he is the best superstar in the history of the sport.
- Batista v Brock Lesnar
- The Shield v Wyatts
- Cody & Goldust v Triple H & The New Age Outlaws
23 Randy Orton WM 31
- Orton says it’s been 10 years since we faced at Wrestlemania. I’m a changed with more experience. All you are is a broken down old man who needs to be put out of his misery
24 Sting HIAC WM 32
- This match can happen as we simply don’t need to have Sting face Rollins.
- We have one final dream as this is where it all needs to come to an end. Both men have nothing left to prove. This is the final showdown to see who has always been better.
- After the Undertaker retires, he doesn’t have to suffer anymore. We finally see this dream match.
