September 20th Raw

WWE RAW RECAP – September 20, 2021

*Big E. makes sure NC State won’t dare be sour-ah!…Big E. (with Kofi & Woods) is here to give thanks to the fans for the support on his journey to the WWE Championship, makes reference to Brodie as well…but tonight the New Day has business with the Bloodline…Roman’s music interrupts, the Bloodline make their way to the ring…Roman & Big E. get (almost) face-to-face, do some barking at each other off mic as we go to commercial…

(1)  The Bloodline defeats The New Day…around the 12 min mark, Bobby Lashley comes to ringside & takes out Kofi & Jey (which somehow isn’t worthy of a DQ even though the Ref clearly sees it)…this distraction allows Roman to hit a spear on Woods for the win (13:04)…AFTER…Lashley into the ring, spears Roman…then Lashley spears Big E. through the barricade at ringside…LASHLEY SMASH!

*Bobby Lashley stomps into Pearce/Sonya’s office…still bitching about the cash in from last week…says he could beat Roman or Bg E. in a 1-on-1 match any day…Pearce & Sonya are speechless.

*RKBro backstage…Riddle talking nonsense…gives Randy a “motivational” speech in preparation for his match with AJ Styles later tonight.

(2)  Doudrop defeats Eva Marie…Eva gets on the mic & calls Doudrop a mess…then starts running in & out & around the ring to avoid contact…Doudrop eventually gets her hands on Eva, hits the Low Cross Body for the win (01:18)…AFTER…Doudrop declares the Eva-lution is DEAD!

*Big E. enters Pearce’s office…he wants both Roman & Lashley…TONIGHT!

*Heyman into Pearce’s office with a message from the Tribal Chief…Sonya cuts him off, the triple threat match is happening tonight.

(3)  Randy Orton defeats AJ Styles…Omos trips Randy from outside, gets ejected from ringside, but not before punching Riddle…Draping DDT, RKO for the win (15:02).

(4)  Shayna Baszler defeats Nia Jax…Kirifuda Clutch for the win (02:20)…AFTER…Shayna sets Nia’s hand up in the ring steps & stomps her arm…sets up for a second stomp, Nia tearfully begs her off but Shayna stomps again anyway…Shayna seems upset with herself afterwards as Nia wails in pain.

(5)  Humberto Carillo & Angel Garza defeat Mansoor & Mustafah Ali…Carillo holds Ali in a back-bridging neck crank, Garza delivers a dropkick to the face, Carillo covers for the win (02:51).

*Karrion Kross hype video…a message to the entire Raw roster to fall & pray!

*Rhea Ripley & Nikki ASH do a live ad for Connor’s Cure…they dedicate their match tonight to “the kids.”

(6)  Rhea Ripley & Nikki ASH defeat Natalya & Tamina…to become the NEW WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions…Rhea hits the Riptide on Tamina outside the ring, causing Natalya to pause an attempt at a Sharpshooter…Nikki grabs Natty’s head & rolls her up for the win (02:32).

*Alexa’s Playground is in the ring tonight…Alexa welcomes Charlotte…Alexa recovered Charly from the garbage, Charlotte still wants no part of it…would rather beat the sense back into Alexa…Alexa gets real for a minute, calls Charlotte a “narcissistic, self-centered bitch”…Charlotte pie-faces Alexa, delivers running knee, tears the head off Charly…Alexa stops Charlotte from doing the same to Lilly…Alexa hits a DDT, Charlotte rolls out.

*Drake Maverick, R-Truth, Tozawa, & Drew Gulak are backstage planning an attack on Reggie…moments later it fails & Gulak winds up caught in the net intended for Reggie.

*The Miz is on Dancing with the Stars tonight (in case you were missing him…I was not).

(7)  Jeff Hardy defeats Sheamus…Sheamus rips his own mask off early on…Sheamus gets the knees up to avoid the Swan-ton Bomb…Sheamus lifts Hardy for White Noise, but Hardy escapes down his back & rolls Sheamus up for the win (09:02)…as a result, Jeff Hardy is added to the United States Championship match at Extreme Rules…AFTER…Sheamus somehow blames Damian Priest, who hasn’t moved from the commentary desk…Sheamus & Priest brawl around ringside until a team of refs separate them.

(8)  Roman Reigns defeats Big E. & Bobby Lashley…in a TRIPLE THREAT Match…Big E. hits the Big Ending on Roman…Lashley breaks the count with a steel chair & continues beating on Big E. with it…as Lashley celebrates with the chair he’s hit with a Spear from Roman for the win (20:11).
