September 21st NXT 2.0

*Ciampa to the ring, full of young talent…he’s giddy to have been reunited with Goldie after 908 days…some things will change in 2.0 but the one thing that absolutely remains is the passion…Cameron Grimes interrupts, Goldie is the rocket fuel he needs to go to the moon…Joe Gacy cuts Grimes off but before he can finish his sentence, LA Knight interrupts…he’s cut off by Odyssey Jones who is immediately interrupted by Pete Dunne (with Ridge Holland)…Dunne says all he sees are a bunch of “geezers” afraid to throw the 1^st punch, so naturally a huge brawl breaks out immediately when Ciampa punches Dunne in the face…more talent emerges from the locker room to join the brawl…Ciampa & Breakker hold the ring after tossing Dunne & Holland to the floor….cut to backstage…

*Kay Lee Ray, Elektra Lopez, B-Fab, & Amari Miller are arguing…they begin pushing & shoving but refs & agents quickly get between them…

*Back to the ring…Ciampa, Breakker, Dunne, & Holland continue fighting…Ciampa & Breakker hold the ring again…Breakker proposes a tag match for tonight!

(1)  Roderick Strong defeats Kushida…to become the NEW NXT Cruiserweight Champion…Bivens helps Strong reach the ropes to break the Hoverboard Lock…the Creed Brothers drag Kushida out of the ring & Ivy Nile hits a running Superman Punch off the ring steps…Kushida is rolled back in & Strong hits the End of Heartbreak for the win (08:58)…AFTER…Grayson Waller interrupts the celebration…apparently NXT 2.0 is a jungle & he’s built to survive in a jungle…proposes he gets a title match next week…Bivens says next week the Diamond Mine will show Waller why they run NXT.

*Tony D’Angelo promo…his Uncle Paulie (because, of course he’s got an Uncle Paulie) told him there are 2 things we take seriously: business & family…his success in NXT is now #3 on that list…it’s a good thing Italians don’t get offended easily…this walking stereotype of a 70s mobster is “COMING SOON!”

*Josh Briggs/Brooks Jensen promo in a bar…they bonded over a bar fight…the tag team division is in trouble.

(2)  Kay Lee Ray defeats Amari Miller…Gory Bomb for the win (01:37).

*Bron Breakker backstage with McKenzie…Ciampa joins the discussion, asks Breakker if he’s ready…Bron is ready to kick some ass alongside the champ.

*Dante Chen, the first ever Superstar from Singapore, debuts next…

*Xyon Quinn arriving at the CWC earlier with two young ladies…he holds the door for the ladies but a very rude male superstar attempts to jump the line…Quinn bounces him off the side of the building to teach him chivalry.

(3)  Dante Chen defeats Trey Baxter…Chen powers out & stand up from a small package & hits a modified Wing Clipper (headlock instead of double underhooks) for the win (00:58).

*Chase University with Andre Chase…he’s using Odyssey Jones as an example, taking him to task for failing in his Breakout Finals match…when a student reminds Chase that Jones beat him in that same tournament, Chase has a temper tantrum, curses, throws a chair (Ah, that’s why he’s wearing a bright red sweater, he’s knocking off Bobby Knight).

*Kyle O’Reilly medical update…ribs re-injured…he’s week-to-week

*Joe Gacy sitting on a chair in the ring…oh no, his gimmick seems to be Millennial Snowflake…the ring is a safe place from micro aggressions…he will show us the way to peace…while wrestling in slacks & a dress shirt.

(4)  Cameron Grimes defeats Joe Gacy…Cave In for the win (02:50)…AFTER…Gacy gives Grimes a hug.

*Von Wagner vignette…an unconventional man with unconventional methods.

(5)  Elektra Lopez defeats Anna Scheer…Blue Thunder Bomb for the win (01:31)…AFTER…Santos on the mic…Lopez completes Legado…Elektra calls out B-Fab, Hit Row’s music plays but B-Fab attacks from behind & gets some lumps in before Hit Row & Legado pull the ladies apart.

*Trey Baxter is feeling low in the locker room until Cora Jade gives him a kiss & tells him not to worry, his opponent looked like a super hero…that seems to have given Baxter an idea (but I hope not).

*Raquel Gonzalez runs into Franky Monet (& crew) backstage…tells Franky she got what they both wanted, their title match rescheduled for next week…Franky tells her to enjoy her last week as champ…Raquel leaves & Lash Legend (apparently) approaches Franky…congratulates her on her title shot, which is big, but not as big as the debut of her talk show “Lashing Out with Lash Legend” next week…oh boy.

(6)  Odyssey Jones defeats Cary Millman & Darren Chiappetta…in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match…Andre Chase comes out to distract Jones…Jones hit a 2^nd Buckle Frog Splash on both opponents for the win (02:43)…AFTER…Chase slides into the ring, swings a chair at Jones, the chair explodes as Jones catches it…Chase bails in fear.

*Grayson Waller chatting backstage with 2 people we don’t know yet…Carmelo Hayes & Trick interrupt…Hayes, holding his Breakout Tournament contract, congratulates Waller on getting the title shot but reminds him that even if he wins, Hayes can take it away the same night…Toxic Attraction passes by…Trick sums up the visual accurately, “DAYUMN!”

*Ikeman Jiro vignette

*Toxic Attraction to the ring…Mandy felt ridiculed when her face was injured…Jayce & Gigi taught her not to care what anyone thinks…Gigi says Mandy’s experience helped them focus their chaos…Jayce says they want the NXT Women’s tag titles & Zoey & Io do not want to keep them waiting…BACKSTAGE…Zoey & Io are with McKenzie…Io says Gigi & Jayce are on…Persia (Indi’s best friend) interrupts, says Indi will want a shot at getting those titles back when she’s back from her honeymoon.

(7)  Bron Breakker/Tommaso Ciampa defeat Pete Dunne/Ridge Holland…Dunne nearly taps to the Steiner Recliner…Ciampa stops Dunne from using Holland’s club, it falls to the floor…later, Holland retrieves the club but before he can decide what to do with it Kyle O’Reilly rips it out of his hands & blasts him in the gut with it…Breakker hits his Gorilla Press into a Power Slam on Holland for the win (12:32).
