September 23rd Impact

(BTI)  Laredo Kid defeats John Skyler…After a series of rolling & reversing pinning attempts, Laredo Kid gets his feet on Skyler’s shoulders in sit out position for the win (08:46)…Matthew Rehwoldt is seen watching on a monitor backstage.

*Scott D’Amore opens the show in the ring, explains Option C & calls for the X-Division Champion to join him…Josh Alexander to the ring…wants to be the face of the company so he needs the World Championship…this brings Christian Cage out, who seems to be trying to talk Josh out of it, but actually makes the decision easier for him…Josh hands the X-Division belt to Scott…Ace Austin (with Madman Fulton) interrupts…he’s not going away just yet…fisticuffs ensue…Ace hits Christian in the eye with his staff before leaving the ring.

*Rich Swann & Willie Mack backstage with Gia…Willie wants to be a part of whatever the plans are to crown the new X-Division Champion…Rich declares for the Call Your Shot Gauntlet…Brian Myers interrupts, he wants in the Gaunlet & intends to win it…Swann proposes a tag team match for tonight.

*Christian is with the trainer, not cleared for tonight…Josh Alexander says enough is enough, wants to take care of Ace…Scott makes the match for tonight.

(1)  David Finlay defeats Hikuleo…Finlay avoids Hikuleo’s charge, uses a schoolyard trip & a high stack pin (a la Walter) for the win (13:22)…AFTER…shocked Hikuleo attacks Finlay…Juice & Bey get involved…FinJuice seems to have the upper hand until El Phantasmo arrives & the Bullet Club beat down commences.

*Eric Young reminds Rhino that VBD is not something you just quit…they need to know Rhino’s intentions & they need an answer next week.

*Matt Cardona & Chelsea backstage with Gia…Matt is done with Rohit (& the now injured Shera), but Chelsea is out for her retribution.

*Su Yung and her undead crew hold up a Swingerella belt as a trophy for their most recent soul claimed.

(2)  Rohit Raju defeats Chelsea Green…Raj Singh runs Cardona into the ring post & the distraction allows Rohit to roll up Chelsea for the win (04:07).

*Eddie Edwards backstage…Morrissey is going to pay for attacking Alisha…Sami Callihan interrupts…says it’s time that WE make them pay…the two head out to find Moose & Morrissey.

*Back from commercial Eddie & Sami find & attacks Moose…but Moose claims he doesn’t know where Morrissey is…they don’t believe him, but they’re off to look for themselves…

(3)  Rich Swann & Willie Mack defeat Brian Myers & VSK…Swann climbs for a top buckle maneuver, Sam Beale shoves Swann off the top buckle…Swann adjusts in mid-air to land a high cross body on VSK for the win (05:16).

*Swinger’s Palace…Swinger is depressed that Impact’s trip to Las Vegas will put him out of business…he has Bravo help him write a “John Deere” letter to Scott D’Amore asking him to visit Swinger’s Palace next week to discuss…signing it from JJ Dillon.

*Good Brothers are still on vacation…because they’ve beaten everyone.

*Mickie James to the ring…calls out Deonna Purrazzo, who joins her & immediately admonishes Mickie for attacking her last week…Mickie suggests they settle their issues at Bound for Glory…Deonna says it’s not going to happen because it does nothing for her…brawl ensues…Security pulls them apart…Scott D’Amore reminds the ladies that he makes the matches & decides it would be crazy to turn down Deonna vs. Mickie at BFG.

*Eddie & Sami find Morrissey backstage but Security gets between them before anything happens…Scott says they settle things in the ring, so next week there will be a street fight.

*Gail Kim backstage with Gia…Gail is in charge of the Knockouts Knockdown Special (there goes Gail Kim ripping off Mickie James)…there will be an 8-woman tournament (4 Knockout & 4 women from outside the company)…the winner will get a Knockouts Championship match…The Influence interrupt, they want a shot at the tag titles…they’ll have to earn it against Jordynne & Rachael next week.

*X-Division Tournament announced…there will be 3 triple threat matches in the coming weeks…the 3 winners will face each other in a triple threat match at Bound for Glory for the vacant X-Division Championship.

(4)  Josh Alexander defeats Ace Austin…Ace attempts The Fold but Josh counters it into his powerbomb backbreaker…follows with Divine Intervention for the win (16:56)…AFTER…Madman Fulton attacks immediately…Christian down for the save, clears the ring…as Josh & Christian argue, Ace & Fulton get their second wind & attack again…as Ace & Fulton prepare Josh for a Chokeslam/Fold, Christopher Daniels returns to the Impact Zone for the first time in 7 years & sends Ace & Fulton running.
