September 24th Smackdown

*Becky Lynch to the ring…no one threw her a party for her return & championship victory, so she crashed Bianca’s last week…Bianca interrupts…after some verbal sparring, Bianca offers a handshake…Becky slaps her & the fisticuffs commence…role reversal as this week the Manhandle is reversed in the KOD & Bianca leaves with a smile.

(1)  King Nakamura defeats Apollo Crews…retains the Intercontinental Championship…Nakamura with a spinning takedown into what looked like the set up for an arm bar, instead hooks Apollo’s legs & gets the roll up pin for the win (07:49).

*Montez Ford backstage with Kayla…he has lots of feelings about Sunday: excitement, anticipation, hunger…but not concern…Street Profits have already beaten the Usos twice…will do so again on Sunday…calls them “Bloodline Bitches.”

*Roman watching that interview from his locker room…not pleased…wants a match with Ford tonight…Heyman heads off to make it happen.

*Heyman finds Pearce & Sonya backstage…welcomes them to Philly…proposes the Roman/Ford match…they happily accept.

*Seth Rollins backstage…hasn’t heard from Edge about his ultimatum yet…he wants an answer on SmackDown next week…wants to hear Edge say that Seth ended his career or he will find him & beat those words out of him.

(2)  Zelina Vega defeats Liv Morgan…Carmella joins commentary…Carmella distracts Liv allowing Zelina to deliver a big boot to the head…Zelina follows with a stalling Code Red for the win (02:19).

*Happy Corbin digital exclusive…getting some custom tailored suits in Philly…back to live action, the debut of the “Happy Time” talk show…Corbin’s very special first guest, himself…because who is happier than him?…Kevin Owens’ music interrupts…but KO is attacked by Riddick Moss before he can get to the ring…Owens is double chokeslammed onto part of the ring steps by Moss & Corbin.

*Montez Ford backstage with Kayla…does not regret opening his mouth earlier…it has lead to a world of opportunity…he wants the smoke.

*Edge responds to Rollins via Twitter, “I’ll see you at SmackDown next week.”

(3)  Nikki ASH defeats Natalya…Tamina gets on the apron, Rhea yanks her down…Natalya rolls Nikki up in a small package but Nikki reverses the roll up for the win (01:50)…AFTER…Shotzi & Tegan ride the TCB Tank to ringside & fire the main gun at Nikki & Rhea in the ring…message delivered.

*Dom & Rey in the locker room…Dom says Rey is nitpicking all the time & if he wasn’t ringside, Dom would have beaten Sami…Rey decides to give Dom some space & walks out…Sami wanders in & tells Dom to listen to his dad less & start trusting his instincts.

*Naomi to the ring…Sonya has been refusing to put her in a match but she wants one RIGHT NOW…Sonya out in front of the ‘tron, says it’s not happening…Naomi says make it me vs. you…Sonya says she’s no longer a competitor, cuts Naomi’s mic & sends security to remove Naomi from the ring…says Naomi has had plenty of chances & always dropped the ball.

*Roman & the Bloodline on the way to the ring…the Usos are distracted when they pass Gable & Otis backstage & have a stare down.

*Becky backstage…Bianca is the dumb-EST…this time Becky won’t just beat Bianca, she will break her.

(4)  Roman Reigns defeats Montez Ford…Ford has the upper hand & is bouncing Reigns off the barricade around ringside…Ford climbs onto the announce table & it collapses under his feet (oops!), so Ford uses the ring steps to deliver a jumping double ax handle to Reigns…Ford attempts the From the Heavens splash but Reigns gets the knees up & transitions into the Guillotine for the submission win (16:31)…

AFTER THE FINAL BELL…Paul Heyman gets on the mic, counsels Roman to show Ford, Balor, the Demon, & even Brock Lesnar what happens when Roman takes it to the extreme…Heyman waives the Usos out…Roman starts with a half dozen chairshots to Ford’s back…followed by a uranage through a table the Usos set up ringside…LIGHTS OUT…RED LIGHTS UP…the Demon is standing on top of a ringpost & takes out Roman & the Usos with a dive to the floor…Roman brings a chair into the ring but drops it as the Demon hits a Slingblade…Demon works Roman over with the chair…Roman rolls out…Demon finishes things off with a Tope con Giro onto Roman on the floor!
