Summer ShowDown 2020

Announcing Summer ShowDown 2020

What is Summer ShowDown 2020? It’s kind of like a fantasy sports league, but don’t worry. . you don’t have to spend a ton of time managing your team. It’s still a lot of fun. In the case of Summer ShowDown, anyone that wants to play chooses a wrestler that they think will compete regularly throughout the Summer. That wrestler will accrue points throughout the Summer, but . . .

  • Wrestlers stop accruing points if they lose a match or if they don’t wrestle frequently enough . . .
  • When that happens, the wrestler becomes inactive in Summer Showdown . . .
  • If your chosen wrestler becomes inactive, you don’t score points that week, but you have the option of picking up a new active wrestler to start the next week.

The Summer ShowDown plays out over 12 weeks, but only one wrestler will score points in the final week. That will be the Summer ShowDown Wrestling League Champion. The champion will be the active wrestler with the most amount of ring time.

Something else interesting abut the league: it’s planned for 12 weeks, but it could end sooner if we run out of active wrestlers.

Everything is played out over Instagram, so make sure you head there for updates. Follow Minutes To Bell Time on Instagram, register your pick, and let’s have fun!

Personal Note

When I started Minutes to Bell Time, setting up and running a Fantasy platform was on my backlog of things I wanted to get done. It’s still there on my backlog and someday I will get to it. In the meantime, Summer Showdown 2020 is a great way to test the waters using existing tools. I hope people find it a fun way to enhance their fandom and the pro wrestling experience over the Summer.
