NXT TakeOver takes place at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon tonight. The show begins at 7:00 PM Eastern time with a 30 minute pre-show on the WWE Network. Announced for the show:

Johnny Gargano vs. Finn Balor

The angle for this match goes all the way back to the October 23 episode of NXT on USA where Finn Balor attacked Gargano by giving him the 1916 DDT on the ramp. This led to “Johnny Takeover” missing his first TakeOver back in November.

The Unidisputed Era vs. The “BroserWeights”

Pete Dunne and Matt Riddle, two singles wrestlers, were tossed together as competitors in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. On way to winning the Tag Team tournament, the BroserWeights defeated three NXT UK teams including Imperium and two former NXT UK Tag Team Championship teams (Grizzled Young Veterans and Flash Morgan Webster / Mark Andrews). Tonight the Broserweights challenge Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly for the NXT Tag Team Championships.

Tegan Nox vs. Dakota Kai in a Street Fight

Former best friends became bitter enemies when Dakota Kai viciously attacked Nox at the NXT TakeOver War Games match in November. Kai became a last minute replacement for injured Mia Yim on the Rhea Ripley War Games team. Angered by her status as an afterthought, Kai attacked Nox and put her out of action for two months. The two squared off in a short match on the January 29th episode of NXT Television, but the personal issue continued after the match and led us to NXT TakeOver Portland.

Keith Lee vs. Dominik Dijakovic for the NXT North American Championship

These two have wrestled a series of matches on NXT Television and across the Independent Wrestling  scene (including PWG) before arriving at NXT. After Lee recently won the NXT Championship from Roderick Strong, Dijakovic defeated Damien Priest for an opportunity to battle the new champion for his title.

Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair for the NXT Championship

Bianca Belair won the right to challenge for Rhea Ripley’s NXT Championship when she won a battle royal on the January 15th edition of NXT Television. Since that time, Charlotte Flair won the Royal Rumble match and Ripley has lobbied for Charlotte to choose her as Charlotte’s WrestleMania opponent. This led to Charlotte and Ripley segments on both Raw and NXT while Belair feels as though Ripley has completely overlooked Belair as a challenger. Will Charlotte get involved in this match and will Ripley make it past Belair?

Adam Cole vs. Tommaso Ciampa for the NXT Championship.

Tommaso Ciampa never lost his NXT Championship as he relinquished it due to injury in March of 2019. Now, close to a year later, Ciampa has vowed to reclaim the title.
