Thank You to the Wrestlers

I just want to say thank you to the wrestlers.

Many members of the wrestling community find themselves unemployed or furloughed today. After WWE held a brief call with their talent, WWE.com posted an article announcing the release of several on-screen personalities. As of this writing, the list has grown to 20 people. I don’t know if it’s over. In addition to those 20 named people, WWE also furloughed many of their agents.

One can only assume that dozens of other people working in various WWE roles are also impacted, and we’ll probably never hear their names.

I often refer to this website as my love letter to pro wrestling. With that in mind, I started a pro wrestling story that I’m giving away for free on this website. I spend every day trying to think of new ways to enhance the pro wrestling fan experience.

But at times like this, all I can do is say thank you to all the people that contribute to pro wrestling each week. An extra big thank you goes out to those impacted by the news of the day. You have provided me with many years of entertainment, and I will always look to you to provide me with more. I hope everyone eventually lands on their feet and has the opportunity to perform for us fans again in the very near future.
