We got competitors from across the NXT board tonight with both the Men’s and Women’s Dusty Classic having matches on the show tonight.
Great opening recap letting us know everything leading in to tonight’s matches recapping NXT from this past Wednesday.
THE WAY (CANDICE LERAE & INDI HARTWELL) VS. GIGI DOLIN & CORA JADE – WOMEN’S DUSTY RHODES TAG TEAM CLASSIC QUARTER FINAL MATCH
- Does Dolin prefer being remembered as the Former Mrs. Darby Allin or Tampon Girl? Obviously know a lot about Dolin/Kelly but not familiar with Jade.
- Mostly all Indi and Candice so far with Gigi getting the hot tag but still only able to get a one count on Indi.
- Definitely some issues in the match as Jade and Dolin aren’t as strong in the WWE system as Indi and Candice are.
- Indi hits her finisher on Jade and gets the pinfall victory for The Way to advance to the Semi Finals.

TOMMASO CIAMPA & TIMOTHY THATCHER VS. TONY NESE & ARIYA DAIVARI – DUSTY RHODES TAG TEAM CLASSIC FIRST ROUND MATCH
- I actually thought Nese and Daivari had a chance of advancing to the Quarter Finals when the bracket was released. Not so much now.
- Imagine having to tape this match the day after going in the Fight Pit?
- Great to hear Nigel put his perspective afer teaming with Daniel Bryan after going to war with him in ROH.
- Thatcher and Ciampa have to be the only ones smiling before this match even after the war both went through on Wednesday.
- Ciampa asks for a tag and Thatcher tags him in although it looks like he had doubts.
Smart spot with Daivari going after Ciampa’s knee with Nese watching out as Daivari smashes the knee against the Ringpost repeatedly. - Good heel work from Nese leading to Nese being able to pull Daivari and Ciampa back to the corner as Ciampa tried to get to Thatcher for a tag while in the Figure Four.
- Hot tag to Thatcher with him destroying both Nese and Daivari in the middle of the ring with Upper Cut after Upper Cut.
- Ciampa now getting the hot tag and doing the same but his leg gets dropkicked from Nese.
- Nese and Daivari get caught coming off the top by both Ciampa and Thatcher who realize they are on the same page.
- Willows bell from Ciampa on Nese and they advance.
