WWE Celebrates 3:16 Day on March 16

WWE Celebrates 3:16 Day on March 16, 2020 with an appearance by Steve Austin on Monday Night Raw. Raw that evening takes place at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA.

WWE also announced a new episode of Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions featuring a discussion with Bret “Hitman” Hart. Hart’s match with Austin at WrestleMania 13 stands up as one of the classic WrestleMania matches. Their rivalry in 1997 launched Austin as one of the top wrestling attraction in history. Austin’s previous Broken Skull Sessions guests include Undertaker, Kane, Goldberg, and Big Show.

On March 16th, WWE plans to air a WWE Network marathon of Austin programming (including the aforementioned Broken Skull Session). Fans also receive the opportunity to purchase exclusive Austin 3:16 merchandise from WWEshop.com. In addition, exclusive Austin 3:16 trading cards from Topps come out in celebration and WWE plans to feature Steve Austin content across all of their digital platforms.

As part of 3:16 Day, WWE encourages fans to use #316Day to share their favorite Steve Austin moments.

My Own Steve Austin Memory

When Steve won the WWE Championship from Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 14, I attended Raw the next day at The Pepsi Arena in Albany, NY. I was 14 years old. On this night, Vince McMahon presented Steve with a new WWE Championship belt. This made Austin the last person to win the classic Winged Eagle belt previously carried to the ring by Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Ric Flair, and Shawn Michaels (among others). Austin, of course, thanked Mr. McMahon with a stunner. #316day
