Our must have recap of the Women’s Dusty Classic so far as the final match of the Quarter Finals will take place tonight.

JAKE ATLAS VS. ARIYA DAIVARI VS. AUGUST GREY – TRIPLE THREAT MATCH

• Seriously, August Grey is just the modern version of Johnny Swinger, right?
• Did Ariya Daivari jsut repurpose Christian’s gear? Looks a lot like the white and gold Christian Cage gear.
• Nice spot with Atlas and Grey moving as Daivari is jumping at them off the top rope and he gets a mouth full of mat.
• Story of the match seems to be matching the build to the match on twitter with Atlas and Grey just trying to compete against each other with Daivari interjecting when he can.
• Lots of pin attempts being broken up as one would expect in a Cruiserweight multi-person match.
• Beautiful Frog Splash from Daivari but Grey kicks out just before the three count as the match continues.
• Atlas trying to take both men out but Grey is able to hit a couple moves after Atlas was working over Daivari.
• Really good fast paced action in this one so far. Atlas hits a terrible looking version of his cartwheel DDT but only gets a two.
• Daivari takes out Atlas with his chain necklace since it is No DQ then takes out Grey with a massive Lariat and gets the pinfall victory.

We get to see the interview Curt Stallion gave on NXT two days ago about strapping rockets on to himself.
Of course we then see him after the attack later that night and Regal confronting Legado Del Fantasma.

SHOTZI BLACKHEART & EMBER MOON VS. MARINA SHAFIR & ZOEY STARK – WOMEN’S DUSTY RHODES TAG TEAM CLASSIC QUARTER FINAL MATCH

• Shafir has not been seen wrestling on NXT or even on NXT at all for any reason and we are to suspect she is going to win a match against Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart?
• I don’t care what you wear or what your attitude is, you will NEVER look tough coDming in driving a kids tank.
• Stark has a good size to her and with a bit of a gimmick change we may see her become a major player down the road.
• The issue I have with Shafir and her fellow MMA Horsewomen, minus Shayna, is that they look constipated with their clinched open mouth while calling spots.
• You know you are not watching AEW when no one mentions the lack of leg being hooked on the pinfall.
• Really do like the matching face glitter for Shotzi and Ember Moon.
• This match has already gone longer than I expected with the jobber like status for Shafir and Stark as this point.
• Ember Moon looks on her cool submission on Stark and gets her to submit.
