Adam Re-Books WrestleMania IV

“Adam Re-Books WrestleMania IV” comes from Contributor “Alcoholic” Adam Pokrajac. Pokrajac routinely provides the cold hard truth on Australian Wrestling with a heavy focus on New South Wales. He believes this is the most under appreciated wrestling scene in the world today and he reviews it with a beer in his hand.

With Wrestlemania this weekend, Alcoholic Adam has been given the task to rebook one of the poorest tournaments WWE has ever booked. The updated bracket is at the bottom of this post.

Round 1

“Million Dollar Man “Ted DiBiase v Don Muraco

  • Andre knocks out Muraco while the referee is distracted by Virgil. This makes Muraco easy picking for Dibiase to win via pinfall.

Jim Duggan v Dino Bravo

  • Bravo tries to cheat, but Duggan turns the tables and uses his weapon. Duggan pins Bravo.

“Macho Man” Randy Savage v Butch Reed

  • Savage wins clean as a whistle.

Bam Bam Bigelow v One Man Gang

  • Bam Bam wins in very quick squash to establish dominance and show he is a big threat.

Ricky “The Dragon “Steamboat v Greg “The Hammer “Valentine

  • Valentine dominates most of the match, but Ricky fights from behind to score the win.

Rick Rude v Jake “The Snake” Roberts

  • Rude targets Jake’s leg the whole match to the point where Jake can’t physically walk. Rude will eventually win via pinfall.

Round 2

Andre The Giant v Hulk Hogan

  • Ted DiBiase bribes the ref, so the referee refuses to count any Hogan pinfall attempts. He also counts very quickly when Hogan goes outside the ring.
  • Hogan is sick of the officiating and starts Hulking up and attempts to take out the ref.
  • This leaves Hogan vulnerable for Andre to hit some power moves and score a surprise pinfall over Hulk Hogan.

“Million Dollar Man “Ted DiBiase v Jim Duggan

  • We don’t have all Dusty finishes, so DiBiase wins clean to build his legitimacy.

“Macho Man” Randy Savage v Bam Bam Bigelow

  • The Macho Man saw Bigelow’s last match, so he tries to use his speed during this match.
  • Bam Bam goes for a splash off the middle rope and misses. This gives time for the Macho Man to hit multiple elbows drops on Bigelow to score the victory and progress to the semi-finals.
  • Post-match: Bam Bam is furious and attacks Randy post-match. Savage suffers an injury to his ribs.

Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat v Rick Rude

  • Rude catches Steamboat’s crossbody. As Rude is about slam Ricky, the Dragon escapes and wins with a sunset flip pin.

Semi-Finals

Andre The Giant v “Million Dollar Man “Ted DiBiase

  • Andre gets counted out intentionally. DiBiase is fresh to enter the finals.

“Macho Man” Randy Savage v Ricky “The Dragon “Steamboat

  • We have a call back to their classic Wrestlemania 3 match with Savage shifting his momentum winning via roll up against Steamboat.

Finals

“Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase v “Macho Man” Randy Savage

  • Before the match, Jack Tunney announces that if anyone interferes in this match, that person will be immediately fired.
  • After 15 minutes, Macho Man escapes the million dollar dream to hit a back suplex followed by an elbow drop. Randy Savage wins the WWF Championship tournament.
