*New Year’s Smash is live from Broomfield, CO.

(1)  Bryan Danielson def. Ethan Page…the start of the match is interrupted by MJF throwing some verbal jabs from a luxury box…Danielson escapes the Ego’s Edge & hits the Psycho Knee…he follows with the wrist-capture stomps & by the time Danielson locks on a modified LeBell Lock, Page is unconscious & the ref calls for the bell & the submission win (16:43).

*Wardlow backstage with Renee to talk about his TNT title match tonight when Samoa Joe attacks…Joe targets Wardlow’s knee with a metal pipe.

*Hangman Adam Page is with the medical staff when Renee interrupts to ask when he might be ready for an in-ring return…if he avoids doing anything stupid, looks like he’ll be ready for the LA show in 2 weeks.

(2)  Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli def. Top Flight…after a really entertaining match, Mox spikes Dante with a Paradigm Shift on the floor while Claudio smashes Darius in the center of the ring with Hammer & Anvil elbows until he goes completely limp…the ref is checking on Darius & for some reason doesn’t call for the bell…Claudio slightly lifts Darius & lets his limp carcass crash to the canvas several times, still the ref lets them go…Darius musters one final slap across Claudio’s face which enrages Castagnoli to the point that he pulls out his own mouthpiece & tosses it away before delivering a nasty European Uppercut that drops Darius…Claudio shoves a forearm across the face as he hooks a leg for the win (14:13).

*Best Friends backstage with Renee, as well as Kip Sabian…Kip says he should get an All-Atlantic title shot for eliminating Cassidy from the Trios Royale…Trent points out that he eliminated Kip, so maybe he should get the shot…Cassidy agrees, Trent gets the shot on Rampage.

(3)  Hook def. Baylum Lynx…redruM for the submission win (00:57)…AFTER…Stokely Hathaway, Big Bill, & Lee Moriarty down the ramp…Jungle Boy out, handles Moriarty…Hook doesn’t back down from Bill, but finds himself goozled…Jungle Boy makes the save with a 2×4 to Bill’s back.

*Chris Jericho backstage promo…says Ricky Starks made the mistake of his life when he turned down tutelage from the Jericho Appreciation Society…next week in Seattle he will teach Starks a lesson.

*Swerve Strickland (& Mogul Affiliates) backstage with Renee…Wheeler Yuta interrupts, challenges Swerve to face him on Rampage.

(4)  The Elite def. Death Triangle…in match #6 in their BEST OF 7 SERIES under FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE rules…after another insane match, Pac has Matt in the Brutalizer in the ring…Omega hits the 1-Winged Angel on Fenix from the stage, through a table, to the floor & makes the cover for the win just before Matt submits back in the ring (17:32).

*The Acclaimed music video making fun of Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal.

(5)  Tay Mello & Anna Jay def. Ruby Soho & Willow Nightingale…Anna grabs a chair from under the ring & looks to unload on Willow on the floor, but ref Aubrey grabs the chair & pulls it away…behind the ref’s back, Tay brings a chair in & tosses it to Ruby then pump kicks it into Ruby’s face…Tay then gets Ruby up for the Tay-KO for the win (11:56).

*The Gunns backstage with Lexi…they’ll address the fact that they’re the greatest team in the world after beating FTR…but they’ll do it next week.

*Ricky Starks backstage with Renee…he’ll get some revenge on behalf of Action Andretti when he takes care of Chris Jericho next week…because he can.

(6)  Samoa Joe def. Wardlow…retains his TNT Championship…Wardlow pulls Joe off the 2^nd buckle & delivers a powerbomb…but when he looks to continue the symphony, the bad knee gives out…Joe with a chop block & transitions to Wardlow’s back for the RNC with one leg hook in…Wardlow goes to sleep…the ref calls for the bell, giving Joe the submission win (12:28)…AFTER…Joe finds some scissors under the ring & takes Wardlow’s ponytail as a trophy…Darby Allin attacks Joe from behind with a skateboard & ends the show with the TNT title in his hands.
