Asuka kicked Ruby in the face and continued her focus on Ruby Riot’s arm. Ruby Riot fell to the outside when Asuka hit her with a hip attack. With Ruby standing on the floor, Asuka hit a running knee strike. Asuka was dancing on the barricade when Raw went to commercial.

Back from the break, Asuka maintained control over Ruby. After Asuka missed a hip attack, Ruby kicked her out of the ring. When Ruby went for a kick, Asuka caught her and cinched in an ankle lock submission. Asuka then hit a shining wizard for a near fall.

Riot backed Asuka into the corner and then hit her with a pair of high kicks to the head. Ruby followed those strikes with a basement clothesline. The ring announcer called the match for Sarah Logan. That seems wrong and the announcers said so, but they didn’t formally confirm it. Hopefully they clarify after the commercial break.

Raw Preview

WWE has not provided much of a preview for tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw. We do know that Becky Lynch and Drew McIntyre will be in attendance. Perhaps their Money in the Bank angles will be established on tonight’s episode.

Drew McIntyre (9-0-0-1)

Drew McIntyre recorded his 8th and 9th victories last week by defeating Brock Lesnar and the Big Show. He also accumulated wins in the Royal Rumble and against No Way Jose, MVP, Rowan, Mojo Rawley, Gallows and Anderson in a handicap match, AJ Styles and Randy Orton in a triple threat match. The only weird thing in his 2020 record is a weird no contest against Randy Orton in January

The males with the most wins on Raw belong to Aleister Black (16-1), Angel Garza (6-4), and Ricochet (5-2).

Becky Lynch (4-0)

Lynch recorded her fourth consecutive singles victory by defeating Shayna Baszler at WrestleMania. Her previous wins came against Asuka at the Royal Rumble and on February 10th. Becky also defeated Kairi Sane on January 20th.

The women with the most wins on Raw include Charlotte (5-0), Liv Morgan (4-2), and Asuka (3-6). Bianca Belair just arrived on Raw and her record currently sits at 2-2. Shayna Baszler has a 3-1 record. Whether Charlotte Flair and Shayna Baszler chase the Raw Championship or head to NXT is anyone’s guess.

Asuka vs. Ruby Riot – Money in the Bank Qualifying Match

Ruby Riot is 0-2 since her return to competition losing to Liv Morgan and in the Elimination Chamber. Asuka (3-5) is having a weird year losing in the Elimination Chamber, to Becky Lynch at the Royal Rumble, again to Becky Lynch on Raw, Alexa Bliss, and Charlotte Flair. The bright side of her year has come with victories over Natalya, Kayden Carter, and Liv Morgan.

Nia Jax vs. Kairi Sane – Money in the Bank Qualifying Match

Nia Jax (1-0) made her return last week defeating Deonna Purrazzo. Kairi Sane (1-2) has a victory over Natalya and losses to Shayna Baszler and Becky Lynch.

Shayna Baszler vs. Sarah Logan – Money in the Bank Qualifying Match

Sarah Logan (0-3) is still looking for her first victory after losing to Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, and Shayna Baszler in the Elimination Chamber. Shayna Baszler (3-1) is looking to bounce back from her first loss of the year against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania. Aside from that loss, Shayna has a huge win at the Elimination Chamber where she submitted Natalya, Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan, Ruby Riot, and Asuka. Baszler also has 2020 wins over Shotzi Blackheart and Kairi Sane.

Belair and Vega

Bianca Belair (along with Street Profits) and Zelina Vega (along with Garza and Theory) have a personal issue going. It makes sense that this angle will continue on tonight’s Raw.

Seth Rollins

Rollins won in a non-competitive match last week. He will likely be on Raw in some capacity.

Aleister Black

He had a long match with Apollo Crews last week, and he has wrestled on pretty much every Raw in 2020. We can assume he’ll work a singles match this evening too.
