Fact Check: Jon Moxley has Never Beaten Bryan Danielson

On AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley told a story about the first time he wrestled Bryan Danielson on the Indies. Moxley said he lost that match, and he went on to say that he has never beaten Bryan Danielson.

While I don’t have a historical record of every independent promotion, I do know that Dean Ambrose (Mox) and Daniel Bryan (Danielson) met in six singles matches while they worked in WWE.

Jon Moxley did win one of those WWE matches, but it was a DQ on the May 10, 2013 episode of Smackdown.

FACT CHECK – FALSE STATEMENT

To me, that means Moxley’s statement is a false statement. You can argue that Moxley has never pinned or submitted Bryan Danielson, and that would be true. There is a little leeway on this one.
