FWA High Voltage
- Updated: November 28, 2020
FWA High Voltage
“FWA” comes from Contributor “Alcoholic” Adam Pokrajac. Pokrajac routinely provides the cold hard truth on Australian Wrestling with a heavy focus on New South Wales. He believes this is the most under appreciated wrestling scene in the world today and he reviews it with a beer in his hand.
When and Where to Watch
Your favourite Alcoholic Adam breaks down FWA High Voltage show that takes place on November 29th at 1:00AM Eastern Time (5:00PM Local Time in Australia). To watch the event head over to Sports Flick Global where you can catch the action live.
The Card
Ben Braxton,Tyson Reed & Aaron Jake v. Kasai, Mat Diamond & Eric Fisher
Braxton, Reed & AJ made a real impact last show by taking no prisoners with their post match beat downs.
Kasai made a great return by defeating Eric Fisher who cleary earned each others respect. As for Mat Diamond, he is an Icon of Australian wrestling who has offense you can’t even dream about.
Adam’s prediction: AJ, Braxton and Reed have too much natural chemistry.
Vinnie Vain Promo
Adam’s prediction: Vinnie will explain his actions. With Wolfe accompanying him to the ring, they’ll demand a tag team title shot. This leads to a match where Vinnie or Wolfe will win
Massive Q v. The Buccaneer
Massive Q made his long awaited debut at FWA, and he is the worst case scenario for a lot of opponents.
As for the Buccaner, he has been wrestling for FWA for quite a while now predominantly as a tag team specialist, but this could be his opportunity to break out as a singles competitor.
Adam’s Prediction: Massive Q is a terrifying monster and will squash anyone in his way.
FWA Womens Championship Open Challenge Tarlee (C)
Since Tarlee retained her title against Rochelle, it seems like she wants to test herself in an open challenge. A couple options that make sense include:
- Jessica Troy because Tarlee cashed in her Road To Glory Plaque when Jess was wrestling for the Championship.
- Xena could be hungry to get her title back as Tarlee took the title from her.
- Nick Bury never got a rematch after losing the title.
- Kingsley can not be ruled as she still holds the Road To Glory plaque, which she could cash in at any time.
Adam’s Prediction: Jessica Troy answers the challenge. When Jess looks to have the title won, Kingsley cashes in and wins the FWA Women’s championship
Rhys Angel & Donnie Mako v. The Velocities – Jude “The Dude” London & Paris De Silva (C) (FWA tag team Championship)
Both teams have a lot of momentum heading into this match.
With an outstanding 595 day reign, The Velocities are the longest reigning FWA tag champions. Jude has held his half of the title for 1174 days.
Angel & Donnie beat everyone put in front of them. They even became number one contenders by defeating the current champs.
Adam’s predication: Angel & Mako take the gold from the Velocities. Since they know what it takes to defeat the Velocities, Angel and Mako will know how to finish them.
Parker Tomas (C) v Lee Morrow Non Title
Parker wants to keep himself active without handing out championship opportunities. In his promo, he said that it’s “not about participation awards.”
Morrow is looking to bounce back after a loss by making an example of the Mercury Champion. Maybe he deserves some gold.
Adam’s Predication: Parker Tomas is the champion for a reason, and he will not be defeated.
Cesar v Rochelle Rogue
Both competitors are looking to bounce back after losing on the last show. A win here could be a step in the right direction.
As a former Mercury champion, Cesar is hard to rule out.
Rogue had an impressive match against Tarlee.
Adam’s Predication: Rogue just looked more determined and dug a bit deeper last show, so she will outlast Cesar.
“Backman” Lex Lennock v “Tuff Stuff” Ricky South (C) (FWA Heavyweight Championship)
This match is the battle of the big boys with both being tall as they are weird. Expect a big hoss bruising affair in this match.
The bout came together after Backman won the no.1 contenders spot, and he obviously wants to break the record of Ricky’s title reign.
Ricky just survived Mick Moretti with Nikki Van Blair playing a huge part in Ricky retaining .
Something to keep in mind is Big Fudge holds a Road To Glory where he could cash in and become champion, so whoever wins could be a sitting duck for Fudge.
Adam’s Predication: Ricky wins clean as whistle, but Backman does step up and exceeds expectations.
