March 30th Episode of Raw Results
The show’s cold open recaps the AJ Styles and Undertaker build for WrestleMania match.
Undertaker Pre-Tape
Taker refers to AJ as Alan Jones. For such a small man, you have a really big mouth. Your mouth is writing checks that your ass can’t cash. I have heard a lot worse from far better than you. You were content being a big fish in a little pond. ‘Taker says that AJ waited until all of the greats (Stone Cold, The Rock, Kurt Angle, Booker T, Mick Foley) were gone before he came around. He says Michelle did the Styles Clash better than you. Try me. I’ll make you famous. You will Rest In Peace. As the bell tolls, a grave displays with AJ’s name on it.
Byron Saxton and Tom Phillips Confirm the Card
Brock Lesnar and Edge will be here
Match Announcement: Seth Rollins, Andrade, and Angel Garza vs. Kevin Owens and the Street Profits
Becky Lynch. shown arriving in her 18 wheeler.
Becky Lynch Promo
Before Becky got started, they replayed Lynch attacking Shayna with a steel chair last week. At last year’s WrestleMania she fought two champions, and she’s been walking that Razor Blade lifestyle ever since. Becky invites us to take a look, which means we’re watching Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair from last year’s WrestleMania. Spoiler alert, Becky Lynch wins this match.
After the match finishes, we go back to Becky on Raw. Becky says that losing the title would destroy her. Shayna is right about that too. Becky suspects that Shayna is focused on stealing Ronda’s spotlight by doing what Ronda couldn’t. Becky says when she beats her, Shayna will go back to Ronda’s shadow. That will destroy her.
Shayna attacked Becky from behind with the Kirifudaa clutch and then slammed Becky’s head into the announce table.
Aleister Black defeats Jason Cade
Aleister Black swept the legs of Cade and sat down in the middle of the ring. Black hit Black Mass for the victory.
Recap of Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens Confrontation Last Week
Zelina Vega Announces that Andrade is Unable to Compete
She has the hottest young talent in WWE. She introduces Austin Theory.
Kevin Owens and the Street Profits defeat Seth Rollins, Austin Theory, and Angel Garza
Theory begins the match with Kevin Owens. After a million strikes on Theory, Owens tagged in the Street Profits. Montez Ford hit a tope con hilo on Theory and Garza as Raw went to commercial break. Back from the break, Garza drop kicked Ford out of a leap frog. Garza ripped off his pants and tagged in Austin Theory. Ford eventually ducks a clothesline and makes the tag off to Dawkins who ran wild until Rollins popped in the ring and hit a super kick.
Rollins proceeded to kick and punch Dawkins before tagging Theory back into the match. Garza and Theory isolated Dawkins tagging in and out. With Rollins in the match, Dawkins blocked a low superkick and managed to get the tag to Kevin Owens. Seth Rollins immediately tagged out of the match. Owens hit a cannonball and top rope senton on Garza for a near fall. Ford went for a tope con hilo on Austin Theory, and he completely missed. Back in the ring, Owens hit Garza with a stunner for the victory.
Rollins immediately jumped in the ring and hit Owens with a stomp.
Kevin Owens In-Ring Promo (Paraphrased)
Seth, you kicked some sense into me. After what just happened, I have a lot to say. You said this building was built because of you. This building was built on your back, but I heard otherwise. This place was built in spite of you. You were a nightmare to deal with, you were better than everyone else, nobody could stand you. Seth, you have done an outstanding job of proving everyone right who called you an arrogant dip-shit. I am not delusional like you. When it comes to WrestleMania, you said you were a God and that I am just a disappointment. Those words stung, but when I was at home thinking of this stuff, it occurred to me how your view is skewed. I have all the accomplishments you have, and I am man enough to admit that I had help.
You accomplished none of those WrestleMania moments on your own. You need to be honest with yourself because the only thing you said that makes sense is that when you got to WWE, your past didn’t matter. That will never be more true than it will be on Saturday. Our pasts won’t matter. The only thing that matters is that it is you and me, finally one on one, and Seth – I will show you that you are not a god when I take my first WrestleMania moment from you. I will be the one to burn it down.
Recap of Edge vs. Randy Orton Build
Edge Backstage Promo (Paraphrased)
Randy – You said that Adam Copeland is a junkie for Edge. It’s not an ego thing. I love the explosion that happens when my music hits. We’re all junkies for this. I knew when I watched WrestleMania VI from the sixth row. If you aren’t a junkie, you are just in my way. Clearly, we have a differing opinions on grit. You are OK with being OK. To me, grit is refusing to be in Evolution because you don’t want to be someone’s lackey and paving your own Hall of Fame career. You’r not jealous of me. You’re jealous of my passion. I have it and you don’t. The only time you have it is when I’m around. I bring out the best in you. Everyone’s talking about it, everyone sees it except you.
The voices in your head told you to make a terrible mistake. You attacked my pack, you put your hands on my wife and uttered the names of my little girls, and you accepted the Last Man Standing match with me – a man that will dive through a flaming table of thumbtacks just to grab the torch you took for granted. You dug yourself another hole and this time I’m not pulling you back out. I’m pushing you so far in, you will never get back out.
Asuka Pre-Match Promo
She looked at Kayden Carter and said “Who are you?” Nobody is ready for Asuka.
Asuka defeats Kayden Carter
Carter came out of the match with a high dropkick, but Asuka answered with a hip attack. Carter got a pair of near falls, but Asuka hit an ankle lock, German suplex, and put the Asuka lock on for the submission victory.
Match Announcement for WrestleMania
Asuka and Kairi Sane defend the Tag Team Titles against Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.
Post Match Promo
Alexa/Nikki – Easy Peasy.
Footage of Rhea Ripley Arriving at the PC
Charlotte kicked her into the garage door and said “Hey Rookie, I’ll see you at WrestleMania. Woooo”
Replay of Brock Lesnar vs. Rey Mysterio at Survivor Series
Spoiler Alert: Brock Lesnar wins this match.
Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar In-Ring Promo
Paul Heyman believes in the magic. This is the final Raw before the most unique WrestleMania of our lifetime. This is the go home segment for the go home raw before WrestleMania. Year in and year out, Brock Lesnar is in this segment because Brock is the one to beat on the biggest show of the year. Drew McIntyre has stepped up and Paul compliments him. Compared to the guy on the street and compared to the locker room, Drew McIntyre is special. The Rock was special, Hulk Hogan was special, John Cena was special, Randy Couture was special. When they got in the ring with Brock Lesnar, they weren’t special – they were Brock’s bitch.
Not year, Brock Lesnar will be on the go home segment for the go home Raw before WrestleMania talking about how Drew McIntyre got defeated at WrestleMania. Drew walks in special and walks out as Brock’s bitch.
March 30th Episode of Raw Preview
Tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw takes place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL. The show begins at 8:00 PM Eastern on the USA Network. Raw was originally scheduled to occur elsewhere, but WWE moved the show in response to COVID-19.
Announced for Tonight’s Episode:
Edge
During last week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Randy Orton accepted Edge’s challenge for a last man standing match.
Brock Lesnar
Since WWE programming moved to the performance center, Brock’s appearances have been very underwhelming. Hopefully tonight, he’ll get a face to face meeting with Drew McIntyre before their WrestleMania match.
Undertaker
AJ Styles says he wants a Boneyard Match with the Undertaker. Nobody has ever heard of a Boneyard match, but I guess we’ll see what the Undertaker has to say.
Becky Lynch
Becky has destroyed Shayna Baszler on the microphone for the past several weeks. Hopefully we have another solid promo from Becky prior to WrestleMania.
