Karrion Kross defeats Austin Theory – 06:04

• Johnny Gargano distracted the official, which allowed Theory to rake Kross’ eyes.
• On the outside, Theory tossed Kross into the barricade and hit him with a DDT on the floor.
• Theory maintained an extended advantage over Karrion Kross, but eventually Kross caught up.
• Kross used the Saito Suplex and a forearm to the back of the head.
• After Kross destroys Theory with several more forearms to the back of the head, Kross applies the Kross Jacket and the referee calls for the bell.

Match Announcement: Johnny Gargano (c) v. Bronson Reed – North American Championship Match Next Week

Post Match

• Finn Balor magically appeared in the ring requesting a rematch. Kross said that he wants the match too.

Leon Ruff wants to Compete, but Regal Denies the Request

MSK defeats Breezango – 10:41

• MSK used a Block Buster Assisted Spinebuster for the pinfall victory.

• He’s mad that Karrion Kross chose Finn Balor.
• Pete Dunne told the entire locker room to step up.
• Leon Ruff attacked from behind.

Pete Dunne defeats Leon Ruff – 03:04

• Pete Dunne held Ruff down and kept striking him in the head. Eventually the referee called for the bell.
• After the match, Pete snapped at Ruff’s fingers for extra credit.

• By the end of the night, Santos Escobar will be 2 time Cruiserweight Champion.

• Raquel used the Choke Bomb for the pinfall victory.

Bronson Reed Got Jumped by Gargano and Theory in the Back

Swerve Scott Says it’s About to Get Spooky

• “Hit Row” music play as Swerve’s entourage comes out.
• Swerve says he made a bunch of mistakes.
• Scott says that he tried being something he wasn’t. He’s a savage.
• AJ Francis is now called Top Dolla
• Apparently this is a rap group.

We go to An Auction for a Home

• Ted DiBiase outbids Grimes on a house.

Match Announcement: Zoey Stark v. Toni Storm Next Week

Kyle O’Reilly defeats Oney Lorcan – 09:09

• O’Reilly hit his flying knee drop for the pinfall victory.
• After the match, Lorcan and Dunne attacked O’Reilly. Bobby Fish made the save.
• Kyle thanks Bobby while also saying that he’s doing his own thing. Bobby says he has his own scores to settle.

• Next week the North American Championship Match will be inside a steel cage.

Kushida defeats Santos Escobar – NXT Cruiserweight Championship – 22:10

• MSK prevents Legado del Fantasma from getting involved. The referee ejects all four members of MSK and Legado.
• Escobar wins the first fall with the Phantom Driver.
• Kushida used the Hoverboard lock to quickly take the second fall.
• Kushida trapped Escobar in the hoverboard lock again, but Santos would not tap out. Kushida used a bridging vertical suplex for the pinfall.

WWE has announced 4 matches for tonights show.

Ryan’s Take

• This is a great NXT card.
• Logic dictates that Raquel Gonzalez is just beginning a long NXT Championship run, but the match with Mercedes has physicality written all over it. A great first television defense.
• The Escobar v. Kushida match feels somewhat weakened by the 2 out of 3 falls gimmick. That stipulation almost guarantees that the champion gets pinned once, and it probably means that Santos Escobar gets disqualified for one of the falls. If all that plus a deciding fall is crammed into a 12 minutes, the match will feel choppy.
