Under Siege Preview

Impact has announced 9 matches for tonights show.

Ryan’s Take

  • The entire plot of 1992’s Under Siege movie has to do with a group of mercenaries seizing control of the U.S.S. Missouri. Impact has lost two of their major championships to wrestlers from different companies. . . .Impact Wrestling is indeed Under Siege.
  • I’m wondering if Impact Wrestling has plans to burn the promotion down and completely rebuild.
  • The Tag Titles have gone to New Japan, the World Title has gone to AEW, and even their legacy World Title went to AEW.
  • On this show, Impact could lose the X-Division championship to New Japan’s El Phantasmo.
  • Regarding the six-way number one contender match, the names I most want to see match up with Kenny Omega are Sami Callihan and Moose. It’s not clear to me whether this match will lead to a title match at Against All Odds or if this is going to be the Slammiversary main event on July 17.
  • I do think Moose gets the shot at Slammiversary.
