NXT Wrestlers with the Most Wins

NXT Wrestlers with the Most Wins

Top 10

In this Week’s Top 10, I’m looking at wrestlers from WWE’s NXT brand that have the most singles wins in 2020. Since the Cruiserweight Championship is part of NXT, I’m also including 205 Live originals.

Let’s take a look at the surprising, interesting, and obvious. Here’s the list (plus see the images below):

  1. Isaiah Swerve Scott (9-5)
  2. Keith Lee (8-0)
  3. Finn Balor (8-1)
  4. Tyler Breeze (6-6)
  5. Adam Cole – Bay Bay – (5-0)
  6. Kushida/Dakota Kai (5-1)
  7. Kushida/Dakota Kai (5-1)
  8. Cameron Grimes (5-4)
  9. Karrion Kross (4-0) – This includes 1 win from MLW.
  10. Io Shirai (4-1)

Note: Several other wrestlers had 4 wins, but they also had more losses than Io Shirai.

Isaiah Swerve Scott Has the Most Wins

While Swerve has the most wins, people don’t usually think of him as a top star on NXT or 205 Live. That’s partly due to his 65% winning percentage and also because he doesn’t normally wrestle the top stars.

Having said that, one interesting thing about Swerve’s record is that he holds a victory over Fantasma – the current Cruiserweight Champion.

He is the only person in WWE that can make that claim.

This is the total picture on Swerve’s Year:

Who On the List is Undefeated?

Keith Lee

Despite losing a couple of tag matches recently, Keith Lee remains undefeated in singles competition. His eyes appear to be focused on Adam Cole while Finn Balor’s eyes are set on him. Lee has defeated NXT stand outs like Roderick Strong and Johnny Gargano in 2020.

Adam Cole (Bay Bay) and Karrion Kross

At 5-0, Adam Cole has the fifth most wins on the NXT roster.

The 4-0 Karrion Kross (also undefeated) appears to be next in line for his championship.

All of the Champions and Most Likely Challengers

All of the singles champions (and their upcoming challengers) with the exception of El Hijo del Fantasma made the list.

It’s a sign of good booking when their next challengers also make the list (Finn Balor is number 3 and Karrion Kross is number 9).

Io Shirai just barely squeaked into the number 10 position at 4-1.

Should number 6 Dakota Kai be getting a title shot? She is the only other women’s division star on the top 10 list.

Who Haven’t we Talked About?

Tyler Breeze, Kushida, and Cameron Grimes

With Fandango making a sudden return to television last week, Tyler Breeze has been thrust back into the tag division. He has a title shot this week.

Kushida can be warmed up for Adam Cole or Fantasma at any moment. He remains one of the best wrestlers on the entire roster.

While Cameron Grimes doesn’t appear to be programmed for a championship opportunity right now, he is being kept relevant on television almost every week. He went 50/50 with Finn Balor, but he’s the only person to pin Finn all year.
